Is it mock draft season yet?

I love 1-3. Don’t know anything about 4-6.  Why did you select them?

With a few trade downs I came up with the following, which also includes Arroyo.  Unfortunately, I don’t think Campbell will be on the Board at 32 nuclear at 46, nor will Arroyo be on the board at 96.

Howie definitely has some unforeseen moves coming from his response. I still think Baun gets extended but no clue on the other 3. Maybe there's some post June 1 moves?

Trading for Stafford! You know, he was only 1 play away...

What would everyone give up to get Garrett? I’d give up the 2025 2nd and a 4th then a 2026 3rd that turns into a 2nd if he makes the pro bowl.

That will never fly as an offer for the Browns, but it is certainly one Howie would seriously consider.

Would you do...

Eagles get: Myles Garrett (and pay a monster extension)

Browns get: #32, 2027 2nd, Tanner McKee

I’d try really hard to replace McKee with Pickett but gun to my head, probably.

I don’t see Browns doing this though.

He was indeed that far away, but never any closer.

Slay may be under-rated here. Had a really good bounce back year from 2023. If you can restructure him, it's a smart move. The rookies played beyond their years and needed a mentor and I give Slay some credit. Have heard CJG giving him love as well. I'd like Ringo to have a mentor for another year as well.

As far as Davis getting love as a run stuffer, his PFF was 58 this year and wasn't great last year either. So not sure what to think there.

Oh dang mock draft season is back

Every 3rd game or so Jordan Davis does something crazy that gets my hopes up for him again. He's such a physical monster. I want to watch him put it all together so bad, but I'm not sure we ever will.

Yeah I think the drop off from Slay to Rodgers or Ringo will be bigger than a lot of people expect.

My guess is he just isn't built to play alot of snaps. He can play in spurts. Not sure if this is just a matter of getting in shape.

They’ll figure out the cap. I’m not sure why so many of you are worried about it.

Sweat is definitely gone. Wiliams and Slay I’d guess are like 80% gone.

I believe Slay will be back. He and Howie will come to an accommodation so that he can chase one more ring.  Detroit could be enticing for him, but in the end I think he is here after negotiating down the roster bonus.

They did win nine games the year I was in first grade, but all I knew about football at the time was that it was something that my daddy watched on the weekends. I'm not even sure I knew the Eagles existed. I was far more into Batman anyway.

1966?  That was my 12th grade year.

Way too big of a class. There aren't a lot of openings on this roster. I think we need to be more realistic in expecting 5 picks made this year. Either packaging up for the players they want, or trading out and getting picks next year.

Abdul belongs to the Eagles!!!  Hands off everyone else.

Abdul needs to be arrested for charges that chase everyone off, but subsequently get dropped because of mistaken identity.

Why not use those same draft assets and maybe a player to go up and get Abdul Carter?

See above, use assets to make Carter come down as a Draft prospect.

Carter and Carter … sounds like a personal injury law firm.

Davis was coming on at the end of season.  Think he is only going to get better.  A lot of what NTs do is occupy blockers so not exactly something they keep stats on or that is flashy.

As far as trading him, Fangio said that NT is the most important position on his defense.  You either have one or you don't.  I don't think he is going anywhere.

Huff.  Bradberry.  Just depends upon how much dead money we can absorb.  Maybe Howie wants to eat a lot this year since CJ and JC are coming up.

Yep - folks need to remember that Jalen Carter could get one of the largest contract extensions in NFL history for a DT by the end of next season - obviously Howie needs to prepare for that and there’s little doubt that it will affect the contracts they hand out this off season.

For the love of god just retain Baun pls

I like it and want it to stay but if it goes so be it.  I'd feel much better about banning it if there were a bunch of teams successfully running it but as it stands it just feels like we are being unfairly punished because no one can stop us and no one else can do it.

I am far from the biggest fan of the play, and I've felt for a long time that this team seems to rely on it too much at times.  That being said, I don't see any grounds for the play to be banned, nor for a rule to be codified that wouldn't also cause problems for countless other plays on a regular basis.

They could saying "pushing is permitted only after the ball has successfully been brought beyond the line of scrimmage”

reverse of the forward lateral rule

And how would they know it was or wasn't past the LOS on a play like that?  It would be impossible to enforce properly.

Good for Jalen but why is it up to a pro athlete to ensure schools have functioning AC units?

Only injury I recall from the Tush Push is Chris Jones, and maybe him lining up sideways played a part in that. I don’t know. I’ve not seen where it’s any more dangerous than any other play.

That was the craziest alignment I've ever seen.   I remember John Randle used to line up at a 45 degree angle a lot, but that was to get through a gap quickly... Jones plan seemed to be to just force them to roll him over.  He had no strength in that alignment.  I have literally no idea how he thought that could possibly work.
