His cap hit is something like $24m.   Maybe, but I don't see how this would work, unless the Titans want Huff?

anyone seen EaglesVA around ever since the QB he hates, the HC he hates, and the GM he hates won the SB?

No but I haven't seen that Goeagles guy around since the playoffs.  He was always posting as soon as they lost and talking so much doom and gloom but never posts when they win.  Huh?  Kinda weird.

I think he's a Washington fan pretending to be an Eagles fan.

Looks like Brian Griese decided to step away from coaching

Oh well. Seemed like an intriguing option with what he did with Purdy. Some ex NFL guys just hate the coaching life.

No way, if you're banning it "because, safety", then pushing a player should be banned.

Also, if the tush push is so controversial, why don't other teams run it?  I think this is some sour grapes from a team like Green Bay that's upset because they can't seem to advance very far into the playoffs.

A ton of teams ran it, they all sucked.

Green Bay ran a variation of it and were somewhat successful.

Since they are in a compensation pick hunting offseason I wonder who the bottom of the barrell FAs are that they might have theor eyes on.  Perhaps bringing Matt Pryor back?

It would be $17.5mm to us, unless we restructure it. His 2025 and 2026 base salaries are $17.5mm, none of which is guaranteed. If we turned $16mm of that into an option bonus and added void years, we could reduce his 2025 cap hit to ~$4.7mm ($1.5mm base, $3.2mm prorated bonus). His 2026 cap hit if we did the same would be ~$7.9mm ($1.5mm base, $6.4mm pro rated bonus). ~$23.9mm of dead cap when the contract voids.

Guessing he will want a new contract though.

Just remember, in a trade you only assume the current and future years salaries and bonuses. The signing bonus gets charged to the team trading the player away.

Eagles got buried this year compared to last. 22nd out of 32.

Would Giants trade the #3 pick in the draft for Stafford or do you think it would be 2nd round pick this year and 1st rounder next year type deal?

That the players are upset that the business staff takes up too much lunch space is comical. That’s where you work dummies.  Also look at Miami this is the same place where the soft players hated Fangio. If you indulge prima Donna behavior it doesn’t end well

I suspect they know what kind of market he’s going to get and they know they can’t do that high. I think Baun is gone but that’s a complete gut feel.

Time will tell whether your gut and Howie’s gut are in alignment, or whether my gut and his are in alignment.  My gut says Howie and Baun get it done without a turnover.

It’s baffling to think that Becton probably gets a higher salary than Baun. Hopefully they keep them both.

I believe they will come in at just about the same number.

Yep I'm thinking Alex Van Pelt. Mike McCoy is too much the same tree.  Maybe they are looking at a college guy

Van Pelt was my top guy but the Rams hired him. Don't think the Eagles had interest because QB coach would've been a better gig than what he got.

Joe Schoen is trying to save his job if he trades for Stafford, that would be ridiculous for a rebuilding team.

Am I reading it right? Odd that the year with the horrible collapse had a better grade than the SB year

Mentioned it the other day but Chase Young had 66 pressures which was 7th in the league and don't think he will be Uber expensive

Problem is in Howie's equation it will cost a 3rd to sign him because they'd lose a comp pick

Didn't see that. Wonder who it will be. Wouldn't love a young hire because it would essentially be Sirriani & Patullo consolidating O power without any experienced outside voices.  Of course no matter what we have no idea how it will work

The biggest swing on the report card is Strength Coaches, interestingly enough. Went from A+ tied for 1st in the league down to B and 28th. The interesting part is it coincides with firing Ted Rath. I'm guessing some players might not have liked that decision.

A strength coach that the players like but who organizations want to distance themselves from. Gee, wonder what he could be doing/dealing?

Nah the players are the product. Everything should be scheduled around them
