The Eagles Twitter account released a Mic’d Up after the NFCCG. Was that just the NFL Films thing or was that their own? I wonder if they’ll do some behind the scenes stuff, like speeches from the night before.

Edit: I forgot about Unscripted. That’s the show I was talking about. Will they release a LIX one?

Who is the best, most important future player on the team that did nothing this year?

For argument’s sake, include Dotson and Shipley in the pool of discussion even if you want to argue that they did more than nothing.

Very few players did nothing.  Here’s the pool of candidates.

No QBs and no RBs although you have said include Shipley.  At WR you can include Dotson, Wilson and Smith. No TEs. Keegan and Kinnard on the OL.  Huff at DE is the only defender.

Huff, Ringo or Trotter Jr.

I think if you don’t hear this week then it’s Patullo for sure which I think is likely

They still have to fulfill the Rooney Rule so they have to interview someone else

I’d be surprised if they didn’t

Don't know if he will be the most important future player on the team but I like what I have seen from Thomas Booker when he has gotten on the field.  Looked good in preseason

Ringo and Trotter definitely did NOT do nothing!

Flashback remember these two free agent pickups from Chicago ?

Could be VanSumeren…depending on his recovery.  It was not just Zach Baun that had his best season.  Before his injury, Nakobe Dean did as well.  And Oren Burks was also playing very well.  There’s maybe just something about Fangio and his linebackers.

I have tinnitus from my days in the Army. Some days it's not bad, some days it gives me migraines. It's not migraine level, but it's getting close.

Can you repeat that, i can’t read this over the ringing in my ears.

Trotter didn't do anything other than recover a fumble in the wild card round.

My son has that from his days too

That's not true.

He played solid special teams most of the season and played well when given the opportunity to start against the Giants.

11 combined tackles - 9 solo tackles against the Giants.

I also believe I heard Vic Fangio say he believes he "can play" and has shown promise.  (Something along those lines).

I wonder if the Eagles could shop Ringo this offseason if Slay stays or they re-sign Rodgers and he starts. Ringo is heading into his 3rd season of a 4 year deal and if he doesn't start, then re-signing him could get tricky. What would you even pay a guy like that? A guy with potential who's never played and who you didn't feel was good enough to start, but who other teams may value as a starter.

I could see a Ringo for a LB swap or Ringo for an edge swap. Something like that.

Huff has one season to show he can play in this defense.

Ringo & Trotter Jr. for sure.

Correct on Huff.  His number just looks too big to move now.  But after next season there is an out, albeit with a pretty big cap hit.

I don’t think they like Steen that much. If they lose Becton, I bet we draft or sign someone else to start.

What makes you think they don't like Steen? If they don't like him, he'd be a prime trade candidate and Keegan could take over his role.

Staubach makes 8.   Like I said, the last one is really hard.

If you count the 3 he was on the sideline for along with the 1 he lost you can sort of add Reich.

I also edited my post because both Ringo & Trotter Jr. did much  more than "nothing" this past season, imo

No way.  If Slay stays, it will give Ringo a real opportunity to continue to develop outside -potentially saving us needing to use a future high round pick to fill the position once Slay retires.  Now if Rodgers stays, it will give us more flexibility but that remains to be seen, imo.  Plus Ringo has next to zero trade value at this point.

Trotter Jr. There's a chance we never see Dean play a down for the Eagles again.

Barkley had 482 touches including the playoffs (if I did the math right)

How high does Howie go RB in this draft?  I wouldn’t be surprised if he grabs one no later than the 3rd

Embarrassing fanbase.  Based on the poll results in the article you have a higher percent of people wanting to keep Hurts than McKee.

Am I missing some sarcasm here?

Didn’t the guy the poll wants the fans to keep just win a Superbowl.

You are an odd duck.  I can see why some others have advised to avoid you.
