No way, if you're banning it "because, safety", then pushing a player should be banned.

Also, if the tush push is so controversial, why don't other teams run it?  I think this is some sour grapes from a team like Green Bay that's upset because they can't seem to advance very far into the playoffs.

Other teams do run it. They're just not as successful. It's not the push part. It's the O line and QB mostly. It if were simply having players behind pushing, everyone would do it.

The Patriots did it for years with Brady and he was celebrated for it. The Bills ran it the most after the Eagles and had more success than other teams. Yet McDermott is fine with banning it if the issue is injury. I think some of these coaches don't want to rock the boat, they say the politically correct answer.

There are no injuries from running the play. Chris Jones lined up SIDEWAYs.

Reid's comment about Jason Kelce wasn't about injury, he said he knows how hard it is to execute that play. Jason often talked about it not "being fun" at the bottom of the pile, which is also true of handing it to the RB at the goal line or a fumble recovery. Should they ban players jumping on top of the pile to recover a fumble? Only 1 player each team allowed?

It's whiny losers who hate Philly, hate Siri and hate that they're so good at the play.

Yea. Half the time it says "there is no tweet at the URL" and doesn't embed. It takes a couple tries of deleting/re-pasting or some times refreshing to finally get it to embed.

It's been a pain recently.

but also coming off of the feelings from last season before they started playing games, so a bit more understandable.

What I find is that sometimes the twitter link doesn't copy as intended and when I click it a 2nd time, a different address all together shows up and that's the one that works.

One of the complaints, the first class seats, was apparently addressed.

From the full McLane tweet:

Players identify three easy fixes:

  1. providing childcare on game days (like most NFL teams do)
  2. prioritizing first-class seating for players instead of coaches
  3. staggering lunch times to avoid overcrowding in the cafeteria. Currently, players wait in long lines and are unable to find places to sit and eat because the business staff takes up most of the space.

"The other recurring issue is a lack of space, with players noting that nearly every facility category felt too small or lacked enough space.

"Despite these concerns, players remain optimistic that things will improve. When asked what the team currently does best, players shared that team leadership listens to their feedback and prioritizes improvements."

Could be that as well. "Who cares, it's not my money".

Yeah.  The irony of it all was that this was the guy they brought in to fix their money issues!

I find it so hard to care about these things to be honest.  They don't even get 3 free meals a day!!! Blasphemy. I get excited when someone brings in a treat once a month to the office.

How are all the players supposed to sit in first class? Does Jordan Davis sit on someone's lap? Does Britain Covey fit in the overhead compartment?

Some of the playoff teams still scored higher

I was just thinking about our big ass Oline sitting in coach. I'd complain too

Add day care on game days.

Let the big men, vets and any coach over 50 sit in first class or get a jet lol.

As the staff to choose 11 1130 or 130 for lunches and leave 12 to 1 for the players and coaches.

Start plans on an extension to Novacare.

"A" rating incoming next year.

Now, are we keeping Baun and Becton or do I have to handle that, too? 🤣

I get the reasoning (to an extent) to not own a jet.   How many times would they need a big jet to carry the whole team and everything with them?   They don't need/want a plane to travel to Washington or NY.  They just jump on a train, and likely have WAY more space than a jet would offer.  So, there's only 7 regular season road games that they have to worry about.   Their PS trip to Baltimore would be another train ride, as would be their visit to NY to play the Jets.  They could even take a train when they travel to Pittsburgh, though I don't think they do.  But, there's just not that many times that they need a jet that can carry the whole team, training staff, etc.  Counting PS and playoff games, we are talking about no more than 12 times a year.

And just like with boats, maintaining them is a pain and expensive... not to mention that adds the cost of pilots, etc. etc.  I think the idea of chartering a flight when they need one is absolutely the smart thing to do and that could free up money to be spent on day care or what not.  I'm sure there are charter jets available that have more seating capacity than the standard commercial flights.  But even so, they'd have to get one that can seat about 100 people, some of whom are exceedingly large.

Those bus trips to New Jersey and Baltimore and Washington definitely are much greater wear and tear on the players than plane trips are.

They usually take a train to those spots, from my memory.  And the train is a MUCH better way to travel than plane.  No change in pressure for injuries, larger seats, easier to move around during the travel, etc.

Would be pretty stoked for this draft.

Sawyer was really clutch down the stretch. What technique he lacks can be coached up.

Big fan of Ratledge. If Becton does not re-sign, he comes in and immediately competes with Steen for RG.

Skattebo would be REALLY fun to watch at RB2 behind the Eagles OL.

Robinson a solid addition to the DT rotation.

And Hawes is a TE blocking machine. That is all he did at GA Tech.
