Wondering if we go CB in round 2 this year.  DE and DT or DT and DE in round 1 and 3

If Slay is gone, this is a good possibility. Even if they re-sign Rodgers, there would not be much depth beyond an unproven Ringo.

Could be some RD1 talent that falls to pick 64.

Also would keep an eye out on mid-round CB gems. Either of the Kansas CBs would look real good in RD3.

So who do you like for our pick at 32?  Sounds like you know and follow college ball.

Isn't that tampering ?

But they’ll still arbitrarily place ball down I assume.

Rest In Peace

She was awesome, she's gone through some personal and health battles apparently, a real shame gone way too young

That’s a shame - I like the chain gang and the little dramatic interlude they bring to the game.

People really like the first two guys, and Arroyo too.

Campbell is a first rounder.

Henderson some people have as RB2 in this class, I think with a good combine he could sneak into the first rounder but more likely top half of the second round.

Arroyo is likely going to be a second round pick unless the injury issues pose a concern.

I just don’t know why someone can’t make a simulator with realistic prospect rankings and trades.

And who do you like at 32?  Can definitely see you are on it.

The magic of the refs Fing up and screwing a team?

I think they have flexibility because of the current depth at CB.  I do think they will look at DT/DE before CB.

The magic of spotting the ball incorrectly for the sake of drama?

I don't understand why this is so difficult for them to implement.

Sensors in the ball, that way you know exactly where the ball is on the field. When the ref blows the whistle, the exact placement of the ball is known that's where you spot the ball. You don't need to worry if you can't see it, as soon as the ref deems the play dead or the runner down, the exact location is known. Throw in electronic whistle if you want to make it more accurate.

As a member of a high school football chain gang, I must say I take offense to the characterization of my moment to shine on a football field as I lumber out on to the field... all eyes watching my every move...

and the cheer that I receive when the call goes the right way... money can't buy that!   (Well, it can, but only when sent to my offshore account before the game.)

I’d be pretty darn happy if our draft went like this. 😁

I just wish someone would build a simulator that was realistic.

Who was available at 64? I just think they would have to draft DT/DE in one of the first 2 picks.  I like the Campbell pick.  You get -5 Howies because you drafted 2 LBs.

I think all they are doing is stopping have the guys bringing out the chains for measurement to save time. Refs still spot.

I like the chain gang. There really wasn’t any instances of refs screwing it up I can remember. Closest thing was the index card when they couldn’t tell if the tip crossed one time.

Good point

I love dumb sports traditions - the chain game being one of them. But a lot of that nostalgia has been replaced with anger every time one of these shitforbrains wrecks a game.
