Best part of the parade was the players continuously coming off the busses and High fiving fans throughout the parade route.  They did it to the extent that this parade ended up being two hours longer than the last one.

In fairness to the 2017 team - it was about 30 degrees colder that day without much sun - plus the entire city was much more in a "wow, this really happened" type of atmosphere whereas this time around, it was a party from the start.

Well done!

The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

Trotter Jr. There's a chance we never see Dean play a down for the Eagles again.

Unfortunately this is a possibility.   And if he does, he may not have his explosiveness, lateral movement, etc.  I don't think we know for sure about Dean until the 2026 training camp.

If he's here in 2026. He's a FA after next year. My guess is Howie buys extremely low hoping he comes back 100%

Just a couple of my guys in this draft that aren't typically mentioned everyday.

LB Small Mondon ; DE/DT Ashton Gillotte ; DE Donovan Ezeiruaku ; CB Shavon Revel ; DE Jared Ivy ; EDGE Bradyn Swinson ; DT Omarr Normann-Lott ; RB Devin Neal ; S Andrew Mukuba ; EDGE Josaiah Stewart ; RB Trevor Etienne ; WR Savion Williams.....

I am also very high on the top EDGE's that are commonly mentioned. I like all the Georgia guys on both sides of the ball and there's quite a few this year. I would be quite happy with either of their pass rushers. I wonder if Tate Ratledge could be another Dickerson type OG. DT I am not blow away by but there's some. If Milt is out, Nolen would excite me some but he's probably gone in the teens.

I think you misinterpreted E45’s original post if you don’t think they count.

Who is the best, most important future player on the team that did nothing this year?

For argument’s sake, include Dotson and Shipley in the pool of discussion even if you want to argue that they did more than nothing.

If Dotson and Shipley can be in the discussion, then there’s no reason Trotter and Ringo can’t. They were special teamers with few snaps on defense.

Let me rephrase...a low enough utilization that no one from a fan's perspective can really pretend to know what they are ready to offer.

I wonder if Eagles would have interest in a guy like Hollywood Brown in free agency. They liked him back when he was drafted. He has speed, which if there's one thing this Eagles offense lacks it's that deep speed type of guy. Or guys they can run screens to. They thought Ainias would be that, he isn't. He's coming off a season in KC where he did nothing so he'll be dirt cheap. Could see them being interested as a WR3/4 for like 1 year 3m or something. Especially if they aren't satisfied with what Dotson brought as WR3. Remains to be seen how they feel about him, I still think he could've been utilized more.

What a photo

Cool, where were these reports before the game?

Excuses, not reasons.

No idea who this is but love the look

Very high on Mondon. He played on those Championship teams with Dean, Davis, Carter, and Smith at Georgia. If they believe Dean might not ever reach his pre-injury potential, Mondon would excel next to Baun as LB2. I see him there in RD3 at pick 96.

A name to add to your list at DT is Shemar Turner from Texas A&M. Good in both pass and rush defense. Can collapse the pocket and get consistent interior pressure. He was the other Shemar in the Shemar X2 duo at A&M (Shemar Stewart).

Was Vic Fangio on any of the buses yesterday?

I am looking at 8 free agent roles that need to be addressed this offseason.

  1. LB1 - Baun.  Just sign the guy
  2. DT - Williams.  I am not sure they can keep him.  We have Ojomo to step up and it's a deep DL draft.  Like Williams, whomever lines up there will benefit from being next to Carter.
  3. Edge - Sweat.  Same as Williams.  Deep Edge class as well.  Hunt looks like a real player.  Still not sure about BG.  Maybe they fix Huff in the offseason.  Both Sweat and Williams will provide significant comp pick value in 2026.
  4. RG - Becton.  I can't see him wanting to be anywhere else right now.  I can envision a very good Guard contract extension with escalators should he move into the RT role in 2026.  Bill Walsh talked about continuity on offense having a larger role than on defense.
  5. OL6 - Fred Johnson.  He may get more money elsewhere to be a starter.  He was a fine swing tackle, nothing special.  If he goes, this may be address with a day-two pick.
  6. CB3 - Rodgers.  He may be elevated to CB2 if Slay is no longer here.  In that case, Ringo becomes CB3.  This is a domino solution that starts with Slay.
  7. LB3 - Burks.  With Dean's recovery timeline, he is an important guy to keep around.  Shouldn't be too pricey.
  8. RB2 - Gainwell.  I am looking forward to Shipley stepping up into this role.  But, as others here have stated, we may want to have a higher-end RB backing up Barkley given the importance of a legitimate running threat in this offense.

Our talent level shouldn't be diminished going into 2025.  Especially if you anticipate our 2024 rookies taking a second-year jump.

The coaches seem to love Gainwell. I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s back.

Personally, I’d like a blue chip guy to back up Barkley. Not only so the offense can keep functioning in case of injury, But Barkley is 28 years old, had almost 500 touches this season, has had injury issues in the past, and only has 2 years left on his deal with an out after this year.

Get a guy now who can be a featured runner, that way we have insurance, can take the load off Barkley to prevent injuries, and be set up long term to keep dominating.

Agreed — love both those guys for the eagles.

Are we sure that Nakobe Dean was better than Oren Burks?

Nah.  As much as I like Trotter Jr, Dean had an amazing season and has solidified himself there.  That said, injuries can be tricky so hopefully he has a complete recovery.

If Trotter Jr. continues to develop, Vic Fangio won't have issues using him as a rotational piece.

Dean played really well but this wasn’t even his first injury. Not sure you can ever assume he’ll be healthy and entire season. Rooting for him but tough to count on

I would say yes, because that was clearly Vic Fangio’s opinion

The coaching staff was.  You know, the guys that orchestrated the #1 in the NFL this season.

But...they may have an different opinion of Dean post injury.

Was vs. Is.
