Another interesting speculation is as follows.  Who do you think is a bigger drop off in play quality, Steen from Becton or Jurgens from Kelce?

You weren’t asking me, but it’s obviously Becton to Steen. Jurgens was basically as good as Kelce was last season.

you got this?

Yes, few hours ago.

Obviously a lot of you are new fans to the franchise and don't know that every year by the time the dust settles Howie fields a team that on paper looks good and often completes it with an unexpected move. He's flat out said they will lose guys in free agency and the offseason isn't over then. Nor is it even over after the draft.  I know the speculation is fun and why we're here but hand-wringing over each tweet is nuts.

Every year. Speculation, rumors, "sources" and people overreact.

After day 1 of free agency, panic.

After draft round 1, overreaction.

After they sign a camp body, "well I guess this is all they're doing."

I'm really, really hoping that winning a 2nd SB in 7 years helps reduce the negadelphia, anxiety and overreaction.

She also said we would lose all 4 of our big FA's. That would be a major blow and fail. Garrett would be great but not at the cost of losing Baun and all the rest of our free agents on top of it.

Was she that explicit?  ALL four?

She said "some of these guys." Plus it's "some people are saying."

What would you put the % of baun, sweat, Williams and becton are all gone? A couple days ago i figured at least 1 would be back. I think it’d higher than what i originally thought. Still don’t think it’s likely all 4 are gone

30%, I firmly believe one of becton or baun will be here.

I’m not sure Mayer is even good. He doesn’t look like he’s good at getting open the times I’ve seen him.

Word on the street is Roseman has been offering Nolan Smith in the Garrett trade.  That's where he loses me on wanting this trade.

You hear that guys, the Rams were 1 play away from beating the Eagles.

Then take the vet minimum, buddy!

The news of WAS pivoting to Deebo Samuel is encouraging. Makes sense for Howie to get more aggressive for Myles Garrett, I think he is going to pull it off.

Say goodbye to Baun as a result.

I don't like that then.

If Garrett is coming to Philly, please let it not be at the expense of losing Zack Baun or Nolan Smith.

I am not on board with that.

I'm with you on Nolan, cannot lose our 2nd best Phillydawg.

Baun is gone either way. Howie's not paying a LB 18+m.

I don’t know where the Nolan Smith stuff comes from — I sincerely doubt we would trade a good young edge player with 2 years left on his rookie deal.

But yes, if you trade for Garrett we are probably losing all of our free agents, which is why I wouldn’t want the deal. It’s not just the trade compensation, it’s the cap.

Garrett would have a couple Reggie White-esque season here with Carter taking all the double teams.

It increases our chance at another Lombardi in the next 2-3 years, but shortens our window to about that time too.

I am starting to face that reality too.

Even though part of me is holding hope that he'd take a hometown discount at maybe $13-$14 million/year to stay with Fangio and be a legend here.

I disagree it increases our chance at a Super Bowl.

We have a better chance with 2 of our own free agents and the draft picks than we do Garrett.

Depth and baseline talent is more important than one star player.

Well that’s definitely a not gonna happen if there ever was one coming from that guy

Yeah. If I’m the Browns I’m asking for two 1sts and Nolan Smith. That’d be dumb to give up. At minimum 3 draft picks in the first two days.

It’s why i asked what the percentage of all 4 leave. I think baun wants to come back cause he loves it here. But i think if he gets to FA that someone is going to just offer him something ridiculous and he can’t turn it down.  Imo i wouldn’t be surprised to see someone like the raiders just throw 16.5-17 mil per knowing he’s a good team guy and they could use the help at the position.  Then i don’t see them spending on sweat. Milton probably also gets something he can’t turn down. Then it’s becton who’s left to return. I tend to agree with Fran where he explained when they did their game on PHLY that it’s probably a toss up.

He already is a legend here.
