Exactly. Them giving up on Dotson forced them to get a lesser player for way more money. So Howie’s move screwed them/

What i find funny about this is both Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk had a bunch of smoke that the niners weren’t keen on keeping both and giving both an extension. And then both of them got contract extension after trying to trade both. then like a year after getting deebo’s extension, they already wanted to get rid of Deebo.

These are the desperate trades I expect the Redskins to make this offseason. They haven't drafted well and a have ton of spots to fill here, although they do have capspace. And Joshua Harris owns them. They will fumble this. Hope they shoot their load on Garrett.  Just bad business to invest in near 30 year olds, as they will ultimately break down.

We need to keep our good chemistry going here and keep drafting, while everyone desperately tries to quickly reset. 49ers in the same boat as well. Looking forward to the massive Purdy extension, to keep them just above mediocre for many years, like Prescott with the Cowboys. This is why Howie is King. Knows when to hold them and knows when to fold them.

Staying at 32 I would hope they get a developmental RT. Might prefer moving and getting an edge though.

Deebo has been in the NFL for 6 years.  He had one monster season and one good season.  The other 4 seasons have been rather pedestrian.

Tbh i didn’t think they were gonna extend both (especially when smoke came out that both Deebo and aiyuk were being shopped) I thought it was an either or situation and trade the other. They managed to sign both and feels like they regret both contracts. Imo they should’ve traded one of the two and kept the other. Frankly they would’ve gotten more for than just a 5th if they dealt deebo before giving him his extension or aiyuk last offseason 

Redskins likely to be a popular pick to win the division next year.  Ton of cap space and they are going to load up.  Will likely sign Milton Williams or Josh Sweat too.
