Who’d they pick on this one?

A player that a national guy without familiarity with our roster would pick.

The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

The Birds pick at about the 1:27:00 mark.  I’m interested what the people think, and specifically who they would take if the board fell this way.

With that board I think Derrick Harmon is the pick there.  My answer might be different after free agency, but assuming Milton Williams is gone I would restock DT.  I'm not as ready to anoint Ojomo as some others on here.

Exactly.  We are not passing on DLs with first round grades.

We have been successful taking day-two quality iOL and handing them off to Stoutland.

I would absolutely much rather a d-lineman there. I love Booker the player but taking a pure G at 32 I'm just not sure is the best thing for this team right now.

Fowler:

The #Eagles have informed cornerback James Bradberry he will be released when the new league year starts, per league sources. His agent can speak to other teams in advance.

The former All-Pro will be a post-June-1 cut, saving $2.1M on the cap.

Thanks for LIX, James!

Now is the time to get Baun signed.  Make it happen over the next 72hrs.

I would love this, but in reality he’s going to want to see what offers he can get before he signs with the Eagles.

How many post June-1st designations do teams have? Is there a limit?

I believe it’s two.

Yeah, but he already knows the basic range and so does Howie.  Much better for everyone if Howie can be freed up to move ahead with the rest of his agenda.

I had no idea Bradberry was technically still on the team

This isn't a slight at Hurts, be he wouldn't sniff the SB with no run game, a bad offensive line and his best weapon being an old TE on the verge of retirement.

Few QBs can drag an offense that poor to a Superbowl even with a good defense.

If any.

He's had pretty garbage OL.

He's elite with elite weapons... shouldn't that mean he just gets the ball out quicker and anticipates every pressure known to man?

But Bradberry would not count against that since he won't be released until June

But what is the basic range? For Baun it’s pretty complicated. Only one year of success and he is 28. But he was an all pro. I’ve seen everything from 10 million a year to 20 million. I think that makes it difficult for it to get done before free agency. Suspect Howie is offering 12 per year and Baun wants 17/18.

I read it as he would be released when new league year starts this month. Maybe I’m wrong.

I don’t believe that’s what Fowler means. He means he will be designated as a post-June 1 cut.

They both will technically be released March 12th when the new league year begins

Outside of cap savings, which you don't see until June, its a nice move of Howie to treat veterans like that and give them a chance to catch on somewhere else.

Pretty consistently bad too. ESPN and pff have had them in the bottoms 1/3 of the league almost every year he’s been in the league. he’s had excellent wr weapons and mixon prior to his last year in cincy. It’s why when he’s been healthy their offense has tended to be fined unless burrow got knocked out/hurt. But their oline even with them trying to fix it has continuously been bad.

this year their OL was still not great but burrow and the offense most weeks was good. their defense for much of the season was brutally bad. Bengals scored 31+ points 8 times, they weren’t 4-4 in those games. Heck they scored 38+ 3 times and went 1-2

Sure does.  One man wrecking crew.

I don’t see Booker as even a good scheme fit - as he isn’t particularly nimble for zone blocking. He’s 40lbs lighter than Becton but not as fast and likely as agile.

Eagles DT Milton Williams is set to have a strong free agent market with the #Patriots expected among top suitors, I’m told. More here:

I might just start pasting text in here, because it seems like every other time I try to embed a tweet, for some reason this board software can't handle it. It either shows a blank space or it says "There is no tweet at the link" which is wrong. It's honestly getting kind of annoying.

Honestly he should retire, he was dinged up in almost every game this year and it isn't going to get any better. Go out a champion, he's made enough money. Don't tarnish your legacy like Peters did, just getting hurt and collecting checks until you retire

He played at a high level.  I imagine he can still contribute.
