KC line gets weaker and they already weren’t great at the OTs spots. I’m guessing they are gonna use the money to extend smith. But now you got problems at both OT spots and one of the G spots.

They got some big cap numbers...  I imagine they could mortgage more Mahomes' contract as well (if I'm reading this right).

I figured that’s what they’d do. frankly he wasn’t very good last year at OT. He was actually one of the 5 worst tackles graded by PFF (and by a lot of different metrics). Even if he’s better at guard it is still that’s a major jump to take from a guy who is switching from OT to guard trying replace thuney who was playing at a pro bowl level at guard before he was moved to OT. Chiefs now have 3 question marks both OT and one guard spot. Doesn’t include the fact smith is franchise tagged so could eventually be 4. 

This wouldn't shock me, the Chiefs are up to something.

Idk i think they made a decision that Trey smith needed to be extended cause he’s 25 and they didn’t want to be paying him and thuney that type of money at both guard positions. Plus thuney is 32. They might go after Stanley too but i think the decision was made that smith over thuney for long term by saving $16 mil by dealing thuney to bears (had one year left on his deal)

I think him or Jones are possibilities for the Eagles. But they may just roll with Ojomo and draft one and not address it at all, we'll see. I think they add an Edge or a DT in FA.

Think jones makes more sense just cause fangio had him in Denver and got the best out of him. Plus he’s only 28 compared to Hargraves being 32. So there’s the potential that if Jones plays well in 2025, he could walk away and they get a compensatory pick or they can re-sign him and he still here for another 2 to 3 years.

Just looking at the top 3 contracts, they could shift ~15mm for Mahomes, ~12mm for Jones and ~18mm for Taylor into option bonuses. $45mm amortized over 5 years -- opens up 36mm in space. $16mm from trading Thuney, and they will gain probably another ~14mm from extending Smith. So they can easily create $66mm in space, if Hunt is willing to write the checks.

See above -- they can get out if it for now, but Hunt is notoriously cheap.

If tutu atwell is out there after the first two waves of FA I’d think about signing him if he’s cheap. Hes a fine 4th-5th wr. Didn’t have experience with returns in college but his rookie year he did returned some punts and kicks.
