Just my opinion but I think the whole "ring chasing" is over played. Players care about money first and second. Probably consider their family over rings too. It's a business for them. They may make minor sacrifices for convenience in their life but the majority will follow the money for the most part.

Since I'm the one that brought it up

I'd agree until it's their end

The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

None of this off-season talk can ruin my Super Bowl vibes.

Funny there's been next to no talk about Keegan. It's not like he was taken with a 7th round compensatory pick, there were some hopes for him. Wonder where he stands on the OL and if he has starter potential. He started on a national title team.

I have to say the Baun signing made my offseason. That was #1 on the things I wanted done

I agree with him.

Hurts doesn't have to be an elite QB to be a winner on this team.

This. Baun was the only guy we HAD to have back. Everything from this point on is gravy.

Agreed.  Although the gravy would taste better if they signed Rodgers.

Slay is always trying to prop up his pod that doesn’t have listeners. It’s funny that AJ is blaming fans for drama because this is all look at me stuff from Slay

Might be an unpopular take but I think this is a pretty disrespectful thing to say when you just won a SB with the guy. Even if it’s your real opinion. Keep it to yourself. Say something diplomatic. I wouldn’t want to play with him again if I’m Hurts. He probably won’t be back anyway but, just saying…

With all that length/athleticism and excelling in Zone Coverage I'm wondering if we're taking a long look

Darien Porter is a rare physical specimen at cornerback, boasting exceptional length and size for the position at 6'2", 197 pounds. His athletic profile and ability to utilize his size effectively make him a fascinating developmental prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft. Porter has been a key contributor at Iowa State, showcasing a blend of physicality and coverage awareness.

Porter's size and length are his greatest assets in coverage, allowing him to disrupt passing lanes and high-point the ball effectively. He excels in zone coverage, where his awareness and leverage help him keep threats in front of him while reacting quickly to the quarterback's intentions. His long stride enables him to close ground effectively, particularly in vertical routes. However, his tight hips and limited change-of-direction ability make him vulnerable in man coverage, especially against quicker, more agile receivers. Porter's best fit is in zone-heavy schemes where he can keep his hips open and use his length and ball skills to his advantage.

Physically he’s an incredible prospect.

The problem is he is both raw and old. I believe he is either 24 or 25 years old. So if you take a year or two to develop him, do you then hand him a long term deal when he’s a 28 or 29 years old old free agent looking for his big money contract?

AJ is really blaming twitter aggregators that make stuff up, not really all fans in general.

But agreed about Slay. It's the one thing that's always bothered me about him. That and tweeting his accolades or how great he was when they lost

AJ somehow comes out looking mature in a lot of these instances.

Would love for Eagles to play Slay next year two times. He's talking a lot of stuff. He and Deebo on same team will be must see TV and just energize team and fans to beat them. Redskins have caught us off guard in their last couple wins against us. Going to bring out the best in the Eagles and keep them honest, as they go for a repeat. Believe that the 2023 season brought such a bitter taste to this gang that they won't go back there and will stay hungry. Better leaders on this team with Barkley and Baun. Eagles have that swag.

Mature is probably staying off social media altogether but his points are fine

I wouldn’t give Hargrave more than the vet minimum

Neither would I.  Perhaps with some incentives.

I mean players don't have a long career and they have very few chances to make life changing money. I do think the competitiveness of the team makes a difference. I also think scheme fit and supporting talent matters.  The reality is, though, that compensation should be their first consideration.

Its fun watching a bunch of talking head imbeciles foam at the mouth protecting no-talent, arrogant, LeVar Ball-like Daddy, Shedeur after spending most of the 2024 season year ripping someone who had 300+ passing and 70 rushing in a SB, while he was having a 30+ TD 100+ rating season on the eventual SB Champions.

What I think might have happened is he went to 8-12 interviews and he did not take 2 or 3 of them seriously because he did not want to be on those teams. When you are unprofessional to one NFL team, it has a way of leaking to all NFL teams. Its a character flaw on a Mac Jones ceiling talent.

When you are as loud and as visible and as out there with NIL etc. as Shedeur, you take everything. Good and bad are a part of it. You don't need surrogate mommies on TV protecting you. His daddy might be able to cry and then ban people at Colorado. These TV clowns are not going to ban anyone.

Howie is going to play the comp pick game this year.  He will look to maximize the picks he will receive in 2026.

He will have a good idea of what that will be going into the 2025 draft and be willing to use the regular 2026 picks as trade capital, knowing that they will be eventually offset by comp picks.

Howie alternates years between Comp Pick maximization (this year) and FA signings maximization (last year).

He stands in the middle of a radio silence zone … right next to an invisibility zone.

The media has been pushing how the Bengals are trying to keep all their guys. Knew that was not going to happen, their ownership is so cheap.
