Maybe I just don't understand what he's trying to say, but in this hyper sports gambling world we live in, the term "If i had Philly" sounds like  a gambling term to me. I could be way off, but it's just the way it sounds to me.

I’m guessing it’s just his weird way of saying "If I was in charge”

I kinda interpreted it as if I had the fan/city of philly calling it then we be going for more.

This is the drama AJ Brown was talking about.

I felt as though you'd move goal posts and say it was garbage time or something else if I actually mentioned the last game

Week 16 against Commies is one I found. They rain for 113yds

I assumed it was he got the offers and has to choose now

They ran for only a small portion of that.  More than half of those 113 yards were scrambles in pass plays.  Bottom-line the Commanders never established a successful running attack in that game.  You have to go farther back.

This. Why say it at all?

Plus that other time going on the podcast with Parsons & laughing after a loss.

Weird.

Slay is the most unlikeable person on the team for me. Particularly last season when we were losing and he was getting into Twitter wars with fans about how great he was (and he wasn't even all that good last year). I'm happy he had a great year this year and we won the SB but he is the person I'm least disappointed about losing and it's by a very wide margin.

Excited to see the young guys step up, i don't think we'll miss him as much as we'll miss Williams

Like I said about moving goal posts

James Conner rushed for 128yds in 2023

Dameon Pierce rushed for 139yds in 2022

Would you guess the Eagles sign over/under 2.5 guys from other teams this FA period?

They'll sign significantly more throughout the spring/summer.

If "this FA period" means the 1st 1-2 weeks, under. I think they'll sign 1 mid tier guy and 1 ring chasing recently released guy. Comp pick watch is back.

He's hit or miss for me. In terms of all the off the field things players have to do to sustain success (taking care of his body, watching film, balancing life/football, etc.), he's one of the best. And he's performed well on the field longer than any CB his age should. But I've always gotten the vibe that he cares about his own play and play of his mentees more than he cares about team success, which is annoying AF as a fan. You. Play. To. Win. The. Game.

Thoughts on Landon Jackson as possible draft pick?

I think he possibly gets drafted, yeah

Why i said supposedly but i tend to think it is bs they that they dont. Imo from the combine on, they are talking. It’s just no one busts or reports anyone for it cause everyone does it.

I think they have roundabout conversations as opposed to direct negotiations. Vikings GM walks up to the agent of a rookie at the combine who also happens to be Milton’s agent and says, "What’s the going rate for a starting DT in this market?” Agent either says he doesn’t know of any Viking DT’s and the conversation is done, or he gives him a X year and Y dollar total. Then Vikings GM responds, "You really think DT’s will go for that with Z signing bonus?” "If it included Z+Z guarantees, yeah.”

Boom, they just negotiated a contract without tampering

Man, the Browns are really a clown show. How do you refuse to even talk to your best player?

Way down on the list for me. Weird body type. Feels like he's gonna have a lot of busy rushes that don't amount to anything and get displaced in the run game. But I'll like any pick on defense because I'll assume Fangio approved it.

My guy is Donovan Ezeiruaku. Crazy length, bend, production. Probably will play at 255, which is just fine at edge in 2025. No brainer.

I don't think a 1:1 is necessary, but Haslem should probably agree to sit at the table. That said, what's Garrett's objective here? To have Haslem undermine his football people? This screams "Dad said no, I'm gonna see if Mom says yes."

Who gets more him or Milt?

Possibly. but I think the tampering is way more. The only reason the Falcons got busted was because Kirk cousins at his introductory press conference said he directly talked to employees/representatives of the Atlanta Falcons during the negotiating window and prior to that. even helped recruit Mooney there for a couple week as falcons FO asked him too.

imo I don’t think anybody in the NFL cares if you’re tampering as long as you don’t make it public knowledge that you actually did it. The only reason why the Eagles got dragged into it is because James Franklin opened his dope mouth, and at that point they had to investigate it. Frankly I don’t think any of the teams are gonna rat each other out because they know everybody does it and they’ve also done it before. The ones who have gotten in trouble for it is because somebody opened their mouth publicly when they shouldn’t.

Doesn’t hurt comp pick formula. Depending on price I’d be interested. Kind of doubt it comes cheap enough

im guessing Milton gets more cause he’s 25 going on 26 and Allen is 30 coming off a injury plagued season

I get that he is 30, and maybe they didn't want to give a huge money extension, but if they believe Daniels is the man...makes no sense not to go all in while he's cost controlled. I know he was hurt in 2024, but he was damn good when he played.

The supply of defensive lineman that are available...this should be a buyer's market for Howie.

This feels like a trap. Commanders feel like they're in a SB window and are flush with cap space, why would they be so eager to move on?

Yes. They talked it over and Garrett didn't like what he was hearing so he wants out. Go to the top to get what you want

Harris, Joshua

Cheap and cash strapped.

Still, it's just a terrible look for the franchise. Take the meeting and say you back Berry. Refusing to meet with your best player is a choice.

Allen is at 18M currently. Milton will get paid 21M at least. Taking Milton all day long. This is a potential shooting star coming into his own at age 25, playing next to Carter, while the other is on the way down at age 30. Taking Milton here regardless.

1. Allen likely isn't going to cost 18mm. Maybe the AAV will be that thanks to BS non-guaranteed years, but the Commanders just cut him instead of paying him that.

2. Williams is long gone, let it go. And he likely gets more than 21mm AAV.

Kind of think there’s another shoe that’s gonna drop for the commanders. Like they wanted to clear that money to allocate it to another player. Frankly, it wasn’t so much production when he was healthy. this past year he wasn’t healthy. I’d guess Dan Quinn also doesn’t think he fits his scheme as well as previous regime’s scheme.

That said if I were the Eagles and I could get him at a reasonable price for the next two years, I would try to do it. Because if he is healthy, and you have him and Carter, that is ridiculous on the inside. That said I think he’s gonna get paid And not be in the Eagles price range. But reminds me of the Malik Jackson situation where jags released him after a down year (was 29 i believe). Eagles pounced.

I was agreeing with you

Garrett has no ill will towards them likely. He's just not wanting to wait until Browns become competitive again (who the hell knows when that'll be)

The GM said no so he wanted to talk with the owner to plead his case

I understand both sides but Browns should respect their star player that wants to go get rings
