Not that this award means anything, I honestly never even heard of it, but this just shows you the level of shilling that goes out there with LA and NY teams. Why give the award to the acquisition who had the greatest RB season in NFL history, won a Super Bowl, and was the story of the entire NFL season when you can give it to a guy who's played like 8 games for his new team so far?

It’s an analytics group. I follow a lot of the papers and presentations they put out. From that perspective they’re probably looking at things like age and impact over the long run… NBA players simply have more influence due to the number of players on the court and percentage of time a star plays.

someone is going to totally revamp their passing game and get 2-3 of these guys

NE is getting a couple for sure.

Saints extend cap hell to 2027!

2025 and 2026 were already broken years. They just pushed Carr's salary into bonus.

Other teams have the flexibility to maneuver like this. Mickey Loomis sold his soul to the cap hell devil 8 years ago.

It was cute when they won 11,12,13 games with Brees. Now its just sad.

And by sad you mean hilarious.

Jordan Davis finally getting in shape and playing significant snaps would go a long way for the DL. If he can play 30+ snaps and be effective. Would he HUGE.

Joe Burrow could do that too.

Burrow would have thrown the ball in rhythm and wouldn't have had to scramble.

You framed it in a way that we have some type of power or say in the situation. We don’t. We’re also not in team meetings. So we use what we observe to form an opinion.

The prize free agent of 2024 played 1 whole snap the first two playoff games, garbage time in the CG and none in the Super Bowl. If Vic liked him do you think he’d fine with that?

To answer the other question, yes, I am completely fine with jettisoning him off if it makes financial sense. The whole "hope he plays better” comes with a $16M risk because you will have to pay him that bonus to hope he plays better.

If the tweet includes "worth up to", it means it came from the agent.

If the tweet includes the agent's name, that's a dead giveaway too.

6.25 for Ertz is pretty low. Wonder how earnable the rest is

If he could play 30+ snaps a game I don’t know how we could afford him with all these young studs we’d need to sign. However, it’s perfect timing. 4th year….rookie contract and 5th year option. Prove it Peloton boy!!

The 65 mph velocity type guys are rare and of those rare ones, lots of them still can't play NFL QB.

Jalen Hurts has a + NFL arm. The knock on him was that he was not accomplished at the whole pocket reads, timing, etc.

Yeah that was the thing with so many of the Hurts debates during the season. So many of the arguments against him were just over the top and ridiculous.

"He can't make all the throws."

"He was a weak arm, when's the last time he made a throw on a rope?"

"He can't beat the blitz."

"He can't throw on the run."

etc

All of it was demonstrably false and easily refuted. A lot of those lazy arguments never seemed to stop until after the NFCCG when it became obvious what was about to happen.

Commies regression next season will be historic. Under .500.

He doubled his salary from last year. Pretty impressive for a guy who will be 35.

The bonus is guaranteed, so it is already spent money.

I think that’s pretty good considering his age.

For all the reasons you have said you believe Fangio hates Huff, no team is going to agree to absorb any portion of the bonus money.

A team has absorbed money on Brock Osweiler. Howie himself quickly rid his team of Byron Maxwell, Kiko Alonso and Demarco Murray all in one offseason after one year that Chip acquired 2 of the 3 on big money deals. Why doubt he couldn’t or wouldn’t do it again?
