Maybe we can interest Saleh in Huff

On the same wave length again… try and trade huff to San Fran before camp or even during camp if you see he isn’t a fit going into year 2..

Coming off of two bad seasons, an injury, and being 32 I can't imagine he's going to be able to demand much.

He had a pretty good season the season before last

It’ll still come down to an agents’ biggest bargaining factor: stats. He can bring up the pass rush win rate and double team % all he wants, but Aaron Donald averaged 15 sacks a season in the 5 years before that monster extension. This ain’t Howie’s first Rodeo.

Based on cap increases, my early guess is if no other top DT signs beforehand, he’ll get 4 years 35m$ next April. Thats more than 2nd place Chris Jones by 4m$ a year, and will be in the vicinity of non-Garret guys like Crosby and I think Micah signs for around 36-38

Donald had an outlier season in 2018 with 20.5 sacks that messed up his average. Take out his outlier season and he averaged about 10sacks a season

Having a proven vet come in is fine in concept, but faces challenges when the cost of that kind of proven player gets factored in.

How much do you think a proven CB vet will cost?

Is Slay that kind of proven vet?

I’m not interested in slay he talks to much. Just go out there and play let all these podcasts go till after you are done being a player.  I feel he already burnt some bridges by not including players like cj and hurts in some of the crap he has talked about.

Podcasts seem to be the trend for players making side money

I think Jalen Carter needs to be in the conversation for defensive player of the year to get top top money.  He very well maybe but he’s got one more level to go up

So in a way we should be happy that Carter was held so much?

Interesting.

He was held.

Now Howie can withhold.

Agree. He’s in the very very good category right now.

Yea, other than name recognition and having a history with the Eagles, I see nothing attractive about bringing Hargrave back.

They didn’t extend him based on what he was as a rookie; If you take the 3 years between that outlier and his extension, it’s an average of 13.5 over 17 games. Even with the impact Jalen has, he’s not close to that

Carter is a stud and will be locked up. He's one of the best DTs in football.

That said, you guys thinking he's going to get 40-45 million a year are insane.

DT - Allen, Hargrave, Jones, Collins

EDGE - Landry, Smith

6 really nice DL options who wouldn't count against the comp pick formula

No Mack at edge?

Irsay on some strong crap this offseason

I’d be interested in him at the right price. 2 years left on the rookie deal right?

If we’re not getting Becton which I didn’t think we were then getting a 3 for him too would be great

Becton is going for $15M. At least. Steen is $1.5M. Easy decision if you are Howie. And take the comp pick gladly.

Hurts, McKee, Richardson would be a really nice blend of cost controlled contracts, talent and upside assuming they’re comfortable with McKee as the #2.

My ultimate combos round 1/2. DE or DT based on best available then hit the other position in round 2.
I'd really like Mykel Williams with a trade up, if possible. Then come back with a Shemar Turner, Darius Alexander, Norman-Lott.

For DT I'm very much in on Derrick Harmon with a trade up then a DE such as Jared Ivy, Bradyn Swinson, Sawyer. Burch could be another I feel Vic may have higher on his list than others.

I still like DE Green but he slid down some, he could be the 1st rounder when all is said and done if Dom gives the green light.

Very excited for tatergeddon to begin tomorrow at noon sharp!

We could get 3 third rounder comp picks. But it never seems to go that way, I would guess more like 2 thirds then a 4th and we will all be questioning why we didn't get the 3 thirds.

You're telling on yourself here. My post didn't even address you or anyone specifically, and yet you still took offense.

That’s because you’re a knob, and we all know it.  I’m rubber you’re glue though - great retort.

Also, you literally called me RTK Jr.  Do you just post insults and then make up your own agenda afterwards?

Is he as valuable as MG considering his dominance and he will be in his mid 20s? Consider the salary trend as well and another year or two. 35 to 40 could easily happen, but I could be wrong. These stupid GMs are ruining things.
