Oh yes, and I can see I've really hurt your feelings with my post that wasn't even directed at you.

The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

Trade Pickett for Richardson one for one.

That's an overpay by the Eagles.

Are you saying that he will fold his money before depositing it?

Taking your poker metaphor … he didn’t fold, he called, and won the pot.

You are worried about instant gratification and not particularly concerned with the long term.  That is your right to do.

I agree it isn’t a good idea to have that conversation again, especially since it isn’t a conversation at all.

You have ZERO clue what you are talking about when it comes to what I am "worried about" and I would greatly appreciate you refraining from putting words in my mouth or I won't be so friendly towards you the next time I respond.

Ah, the off-season before the draft or, after the draft but before OTAs: when nastiness prevails because there’s nothing to talk about.

I’d do that in a heart beat. If Pickett develops, he’s a marginal starter at best. If Richardson somehow does, we’ve won the lottery.

I'm fully prepared for us to do very little, if anything, at the start of FA. I think Howie is going to let the monster contracts happen and watch the bad teams flush with cap space (Washington, New England, etc.) overpay given the glut of available options. I expect us to be bargain shopping with guys in the second wave. Names that I think Howie may go dumpster diving for:

Edge: Za'Darious Smith, Azeez Ojulari, Malcolm Koonce, Haason Reddick, Harold Landry (maybe too expensive), Chase Young, Dante Fowler

DT: Hargrave, Dre'Mont Jones, Jonathan Allen, Calais Campbell

Is he as valuable as MG considering his dominance and he will be in his mid 20s? Consider the salary trend as well and another year or two. 35 to 40 could easily happen, but I could be wrong. These stupid GMs are ruining things.

MG is a defensive player of the year, has multiple 1APs, 100+ sacks and if he stays healthy will be a Hall of Famer.

So, even if his numbers do go up, I'd still argue no.

25-30, maybe. 45? No way

100% agree.

I think Howie will go bargain bin shopping a week or two after FA begins, and then you’ll see new deals for Jurgens & Blankenship

The Steelers should have traded for Geno.

The Steelers approach at QB remains one of the most baffling things in sports. They try to patch it together every year with some bum or recycled veteran. Then it fails and they somehow never learn.

It’s amazing how much is known without tampering lol

They're wasting a really solid defensive unit with these baffling decisions on the other side of the ball.

So many love to tout the Steelers as this incredible franchise, but they've kept Tomlin around for about a decade too long and have done nothing to improve their team from the QB standpoint. I'd be furious if I was a Steelers fan. For some reason they get a pass for just being good enough. They a worse version of the Sixers.

They’re like the Marvin Lewis led Bengals

You do not have a clue regarding what it takes to have a conversation.

Conducting a conversation would be to explain what you are worried about if it isn’t instant/shortterm gratification?  Your approach to team finances appears to be to mortgage the future in order to have a copious supply of immediate assets.

Feel free to explain your approach to team finances if my supposition is off the mark.

Total hyperbole. Worse than the Sixers? Impossible.
