I think drafting an EDGE is necessary. But I am excited to see what Smith and Hunt can do with another year of development

I'm reading that in the NFL the average time it takes to return from a torn biceps surgery is 11.5 months.  If Smith is out for most or all of next season , if we don't sign a DE FA we could draft two DE in the first 4 rounds.

Coming off of two bad seasons, an injury, and being 32 I can't imagine he's going to be able to demand much.

He's at the bottom of my list for all those reasons.

Davante Adams to the rams

Goedert is a top 10 TE in the league and perfect for this offense.

The Rams guaranteed Tutu Atwell $10M to be their 3. Lol

Becton is 25 years old. Two more years with Stout and he will get bigger money and have a better career long term. If he has good counsel, they weigh risk and reward.

Take $$$$ now.  Two years is close to 2000  chances to regret not taking the most money when it was offered.

He tore his triceps. He should be fine by the time season starts.

Unless DG is being completely irrational about his value, then shipping him out for a day 3 pick is stupid.

Give him a reasonable extension and draft a guy this year or next.

We are already about to lose a few key guys to free agency. There is no need to create a problem at the TE position unnecessarily.

Well, one thing we know for certain... it wouldn't be a whim for Howie if he did.

Seems they all know their market value after the combine.

Yep. I was kidding.

That’s what BG did and came back in 2-3 months for the SB, right?

howie is ahead of everything. Really killing it even with a few misses

Tomlin about to go a decade without winning a playoff game, and it is not talked about enough. If they fire him and hire a white coach, do they forfeit a 3rd round draft pick?  Asking for a friend. 👀

Now they get the 3rd round pick plus two farmers from South Africa.

He probably is adamant about an extension.

Agree, no guaranteed $ left for him.  He needs himself some security.

Yea, but he clearly came back way too early. I think 5-6 months would be a reasonable timeline for Smith.

I am shocked... absolutely shocked to consider the idea that agents would do anything that might be considered a grey area in the rules or that NFL GMs would bend the rules to their advantage.

Thanks for the clarification.

That's a very good combo between Puka & Adams now. Not too thrilled to see Ringo trying to cover either one of them.

Funny thing about Josh Allen is that this year he was clearly at fault for not driving his team to the Super Bowl in the AFCCG.

Yes, but he immediately tore it again.   Of course... he's also about 10 years older and Smith will have a much longer recovery period before he has to do anything that physically demanding.

Tired of Lamar and Allen fluff, can’t even get to a Super Bowl can’t even sniff one

I can't blame Allen for that, not his fault his defense lays out the red carpet for Mahomes and company most of the time.

That was a flurry of moves. Howie's gotta be chompin at the bit to get something done.

Hurts' agent gonna be calling Howie right quick.

This year he had the ball and he didn't get it done.
