These next two days won't be fun.  Looks ,like the eagles could lose all FAs.  Comp picks are nice but they don't arrive until 2026 and you don't hit on all of them.  Howie said to have patience.  Patience is a virtue which I don't have.

Davante Adams unfortunately makes the Rams much better.
DK Metcalf isn't a big needle mover for this Steelers' team.

?? Metcalf is much better than Adams at this point. Adams is kinda washed. Absurd that they paid him over 20m.

Never expected the Eagles to sign Williams, Sweat or even Becton.  But I was hoping they would work the fringes and sign important role players like Burks, Johnson and Rodgers.  Those guys provide high quality depth.

I’m going to keep saying it. The Steelers should have traded for Geno. 

If Harold Landry pulled 3 years for $43 million, that's what I expect Josh Sweat to get. Landry is only 1 year older but has played less games, mainly due to his ACL injury. Landry has 2 double digit sack seasons to Sweats 1. Very similar stats all around.

Would you be OK giving Sweat that same contract?

FA hasn't even started yet. With guys going off the board before tampering even starts, you have to wonder what actual FA values will be. With guys being signed early, I also wonder if it forces Howie to try to get a deal or two done before Noon tomorrow. 

We have a good idea what edge and DT will cost.

We literally won the SB a month ago and the guys we're losing in FA aren't in the top 10 on the team. We also aren't losing all FAs because we locked up the one critical guy already in Baun. The core is set. You don't even need patience because the Eagles are the best team in the league right now

Tell me what Chase Young, Reddick, Ojulari, Mack all get and I can better answer that question. If I can get one of them significantly cheaper I wouldn’t pay that to Sweat. If they all are around the same price, I would. Absolutely cannnot go into the draft with just Smith and Hunt as your pass rushers. Would be malpractice.

Technically Huff is still part of the team too. And while I do think Howie will address DE the season doesn't start for 6 months so there's a long way to go.  He could go into the draft with what he has and then if the draft doesn't fall right trade for a guy in TC. We've seen that before.

Ojulari is the wild card. He's pretty much my one and only true FA target for this team. Unfortunately, I think he's one of those guys who's going to sign a massive contract that no one sees coming.

Could see the Cardinals breaking the bank for both Milton Williams and Azeez Ojulari. Gannon is a defensive coach and would instantly boost his gutting ability. 

Kind of want to move on from Sweat. He's not going to be cheap. Got the best years out of him and content here with his career.Think Sweat and Williams could he Arizona bound. May even get Reddick as well. See Gannon loading up on Ex-Eagles here.

I'll tell you what. If Huff proves 2024 was a fluke and Dean makes a miraculous recovery and is 100% early in the season, that's almost like adding two FA right there. No one is counting on either player right now. Would be huge.

Jordan Davis gets in shape and plays 45% of the snaps, Bryce Huff wakes up and finds his groove, Nakobe Dean healthy. Man, that would be fantastic.

I doubt all of those things will happen but 2 might. I do think Davis will be better. He showed signs late in the season and I think Dean comes back after a month which is good enough.  Not sure about Huff but it's possible he's a solid role player who takes 3rd down snaps
