Geno is a turd

Because of his on the field play? Otherwise he seemed to be a decent teammate.

Ok, why would we be so dead set on trading away Goedert for a day 3 pick instead of just doing a 2-3 year deal?

That whole situation seems odd to me.

I know he’s had some frustrating injuries, but he’s a very good player.

If they want to draft his replacement, fine. But creating a hole in the roster doesn’t seem like a great plan.

Agreed. And it’s the perfect opportunity for him in a "prove it” year to get himself that next big contract.  I’ve always been higher on Goedert than most, but he clearly plays with a reckless style, and he’s almost guaranteed to miss time every year.  Don’t trade him for scraps. Let him play this year out to prove he can stay healthy for once.  Then determine his fate at the end of the year.

Yes his play I don’t think he is a bad guy.. just feel he is done.

Technically Huff is still part of the team too. And while I do think Howie will address DE the season doesn't start for 6 months so there's a long way to go.  He could go into the draft with what he has and then if the draft doesn't fall right trade for a guy in TC. We've seen that before.

Don't think he'd do that with Edge, it's too important to them. It's not like going into the draft with a slight weakness at RG when you have Steen on the roster or going into the draft with no WR3. We still don't even know fully how good Smith or Hunt are yet. They played well in stretches and I think/hope they both will be really good players, but that has not been proven yet. Going into the draft that vulnerable and that thin at a position they rank top 3 or 4 in terms of value is not something I can see Howie doing. But who knows. Hell, even if a guy they like in the draft falls to them, you're still thin considering Huff is not a guarantee to even be active on gameday. Even if Howie likes him, Fangio very clearly does not think he's worthy of being on the field.

Trade Pickett for Richardson one for one.

Would the colts do that? I doubt it. Maybe Pickett and a higher pick for Richardson and a lower pick

I agree. I think it is likely that some player is added at Edge this week.

I wouldn't put him in the top 15 or anything, and giving up a 3rd for him could easily backfire given his age and the current state of that roster, but they could've done far worse.

I think they'll add a Edge and DT before the draft.  So they can draft BPA .

Personally, I would extend him to lower his cap number.  He's been here his whole career and fits in with in the locker room.  If know it is an "if", but when he is on the field he does a fantastic job.

I doubt all of those things will happen but 2 might. I do think Davis will be better. He showed signs late in the season and I think Dean comes back after a month which is good enough.  Not sure about Huff but it's possible he's a solid role player who takes 3rd down snaps

I think there's a good chance the way last season played out could've mentally broken Huff. He got benched and was forced to watch his backup rise to the occasion and help the team win a super bowl in his absence. Could basically be a repeat of Wentz where he is never able to shake that and return to form.

This is the most action aeound the nfl in the days leading up to FA/tampering period that I can remember.

Take $$$$ now.  Two years is close to 2000  chances to regret not taking the most money when it was offered.

An injury insurance policy can hedge against that adverse outcome.

?? Metcalf is much better than Adams at this point. Adams is kinda washed. Absurd that they paid him over 20m.

By what metric is Metcalf better? There hasn't been a season in Metcalf's career where he has been able to put up more receptions, yards or TDs than Adams in that same timeframe.

Time to send Kenny Pickett back to the steelers for a 2nd. He's a super bowl champion!

Not only that... he took the final snaps in both the NFC CG and the Super Bowl.

I'm still SO glad Howie signed Baun early. The rest is gravy.

Teams are going to continue to reach & make desperate moves. Howie is going to be smart & patient. There will be enough quality depth for cheap after the initial flurry.

The majority core starters on this SB Champion team are set. There are moves to be made, but not desperate.

That's a very good combo between Puka & Adams now. Not too thrilled to see Ringo trying to cover either one of them.

Not sure Adams isn’t close to the end.

Yeah I think he's got at least 2 more good seasons in him.
