Look at the offense Darnold was on and now look at the offense where he is going, also factor in the coach. 7 wins

The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

I am not a fan of moving DeJean. That's such a critical position in Vic's scheme and he plays it so well.

Agree. We haven't heard them say it yet. My guess is Ringo. I wonder what second level FA are out there?

Slay can go to Pittsburgh. They are lucky dude made it to 34 playing at the level he has and not completely falling apart physically.  Not only that, he is a FN drama queen who is always stirring stupid ishe up. Good riddance.

Slay, Metcalf, Pickens & Aaron Rodgers maybe. That will go well lol

I don't know why, but I feel like Sweat signs with a team like Buffalo

Good riddance? He was awesome the 2nd half of the year, played like a CB1, tackled well, and still showed great recovery speed.

Loser take

Williams is a more extreme version of Edwards from the last SB run, Howie could've tied him down on a long term deal last off season but rolled the dice, the player balled out and took the money elsewhere, it's easy to pick it apart in hindsight but it's the chance you take sometime building a successful team.

You can't keep all your best players all the time, that's salary cap football.

First pick in draft gonna be corner

I keep thinking it’ll be Arizona, Gannon connection helps

Or is Sweat the surprise re-signing?

I’d imagine they’ll find competition somewhere if the idea is DeJean stays in his current role (which I prefer, think he gives the defense a big advantage there) and Ringo gets his chance to start on the outside. Christian Parker has shown he is very good at developing DB, and Ringo is still young (only 22) and very athletic with great size. This is the time where these young guys get their opportunity to step up & I’m all for Ringo getting his chance, though they should still bring in competition/depth at the position that’s preferably a vet over a rookie

Agree. Between him and Vic suddenly we had a ton of good secondary players. You are right someone is spotting the talent and someone is developing them. We'll see what other moves they make in the draft or FA.

I think he heads south or indoors

Are people really arguing that Darnold was a good move for Seattle?

He went from having Jefferson, Addison, and Hockenson, to JSN and nothing else. He also went from having a decent OL to a horrible one. He also showed down the stretch and in the playoffs that when push comes to shove and the heat is on he reverts back to the same old Sam Darnold. That was a horrible move/contract for Seattle.

Someone made a good point earlier, due to potential extensions for the rookies, we may avoid CB high

You have to believe in Vic after what he did to the defense after just 1 year

Don’t forget awesome playcalling HC in Minn too

Arizona is another one that makes a lot of sense

IDK, just feels like he's going to sign somewhere random

Lol, so having an opinion that differs from yours makes me a loser, got it.

He's 34 and left several games with minor injuries. Counting on him to play at the level he did AND stay healthy for another year would be foolish, not to mention he's a FN clown who is always stirring up drama.

As I said, good riddance.

Unique talent.  They made their decision last offseason when they could have extended him.  At that point in his career, he was a quality rotational DT.

He still is.  I doubt Williams will have the same level of success without 98 lining up next to him.

There is a dearth of talent in Carolina.  He'll get doubled a lot more and his effectiveness will suffer.   He's Alvin Harper.

I know I’ve gotten older as a fan because I’m less interested in Eagles signing someone new & just want the Jurgens deal announced already. Him and Baun getting deals are the only two things I’ve cared to really see this offseason so far

I see that logic, but as always it depends on who falls. I doubt they'd pass on someone Vic loves at 32 because of a contract 5 years down the line.

Have to wonder if Rodgers wanted a guaranteed starting position and he was told that if he comes back here, there's open competition with Ringo?

Dayo Odeyingbo to the Bears, 3 years 48M dea

Thought we might have interest in him as similar type player as Milton

110%. Williams will take a step back, and we're going to see Ojomo feast. Whoever is next to 98 is always going to play above their head here.

Carter is a tide raiser.

He signed with the Pats for 26 million.  Left Carolina at the altar
