Rodgers was always the one who came in when Slay got hurt. I'm still not buying it. They might like him but I'd be shocked if they like him enough to just hand him over the starting job with Eli Ricks the only "competition."

They probably didn't think there was a 7mil difference and could use the money elsewhere

The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

He should send Carter a gift basket

I wouldn't have given Williams that deal if we had a ton of cap space. I like Williams more than most but take him away from the double teams and attention Jalen Carter draws and he is a good but nowhere near great player. They are paying him as if he is one of the true elite DT's in this league.

Did Rodgers (cb) sign somewhere?

How awesome is it that they have confidence in their picks to take over because they are drafting so well?

Hopefully we keep Becton

Wow, you are just too cool for school homie.

We ain't homies. I don't worry about what grown men and their wives do outside of football, maybe read a book or touch grass and make your own life worth it.

He still get to play in an Eagles Stadium.

We took control of that one in Feb 2018 and we took control of New Orleans in Feb 2025.

I called you homie, not my homie. Try learning to read and master the basics of grammar and the English language.

Sweat to AZ

Drew did him pretty good

Josh Sweat and the Cardinals reached agreement on a 4-year deal worth $76.4 million, including $41 million guaranteed. Deal negotiated by Drew Rosenhaus.

They shoudl have re-sgined Rodgers.  A reasonable contract.  I happen to think Ricks stinks so they have very little depth.  Doesn't even play special teams.  Guy played less than Huff and Gates.

Somebody correct me if I am wrong but a team can't get more than three comp picks.  So Rodgers may have gone for nothing.  They get a comp pick for Williams, will get one for Sweat and get one for Bechton/and or Burks.

Anyway, I would much rather have Rodgers than a pck at the end of round 6.  Come on.

You knew Gannon would unite with at least one of them. I would not have paid that for Sweat.

10 million a year for Atwell, Brown, and 12 million for Palmer? Must be nice to a below average to average  WR in today's NFL.

Makes sense.

Paying Sweat that much is crazy. Did they not watch him play outside of the SB?

Thanks for LIX, Sweaty.
