Makes good points. Not sure what route Howie will go. The injury concern and age will play a huge factor

I still think we should move on

Ringo > Rodgers

I think they're about equal but with different strengths and weaknesses.

Fine with either one taking over.

The concern for me with Slay and Rodgers both leaving is with depth. Now you're a play away from Ricks.

I wouldn't mind a high draft pick to compete to start or provide quality depth.

I keep thinking Jahdae Barron might be our pick at 32 if available.  He does have shorter arms but think him and DeJean both have really good inside out flexibility

At least we don't have to see a DE wearing #19 anymore. Gross. Really wish Nolan Smith would somehow get 56 away from Steen. Bring back position specific numbers.

2, 9,13,14,19 and one of 7 or 16 should be open provided Gainwell signs somewhere and one of Pickett/McKee are traded.

-Johnny Wilson fits 89 but 14 was his college number. Does he make the switch?

-my money is on Dotson taking #2. He was 1 at PSU and Washington. Have to imagine he hates 83.

-9 should be put back in to circulation.

Baun at 17 million is looking like a bargain compared to a lot of these deals today. I would way rather have Baun at 17 than Sweat and Williams at 19 and 26 million.

4 years for Sweat and $41mm guaranteed is very surprising. I thought he'd get a 2 or 3 year deal at around $20mm AAV, but one that a team could get out of after one year. I thought his knee issue would prevent a longer deal and bigger money. No chance I would have matched that deal.

Maddox made the play of his life in the SB. Let that be his lasting memory as an Eagle.

Yeah, we are going to be using some capital on a CB

Sign him for $1 million then Goedert has to sign for less to stay with his buddy

Howie looking at these contract numbers

There's no reason to minimize what Sweat and Williams did here.  They were both good players who played at an elite level in the biggest stage. Arguably 2 of the best performances on the field during the SB. You can clarify that all you want but they earned their bag, even if we couldn't give it to em.

It's a good problem to have

When Howie asked for patience this offseason he meant "I’m going to sign Baun & then you guys won’t hear from me for another 2 weeks” lol

Groan.

The way some NFL owners work is they throw money at the best players in the SB if they are free agents.

Hurts, Williams, Sweat, and DeJean were all in the mix for that outstanding game / SB  MVP conversation.

Maybe include Baun as a 5th. They locked up Baun before some psycho could offer him 22+ a year.

Williams and Sweat were going to get that bag. Just wish them well.

I thought both would get paid elsewhere and have no issues with it. But $26mm AAV for Williams is NUTS. I personally think he regresses hard without Carter next to him.

$19mm AAV for Sweat is a decent number, but not for 4 years.

Howie was right to let both walk and go after lower priced options. Plus the draft is stacked at those positions.

The Eagles probably have room for one somewhat significant signing and another mid signing over the next few days. If we are talking Becton, a legit edge/DT, or Corner I am addressing the defense all day.

Most of these guys are leaving for crap franchises. I mean the Cardinals? Hope you had fun winning, Sweat cause that's over.

Is 19m$ for a DE a third round comp? Or more likely 4th?

Even more reason to stop repeating it here and frothing at the mouth in all caps about it.

Did Asante Samuel Jr play inside or outside in LA?

I can see Gannon luring him there. And Milton going to a team where he won’t be double teamed every passing snap was smart
