The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

Draft Josh Sweat in 2018 in the 4th round. Get 7 years out of him - 43 sacks, 2 Super Bowls and one ring; pay him almost $40mm. He leaves for 76mm/41mm guaranteed, and we get back a 4th round comp pick.

Draft Milton Williams in 2021. Get 4 years out of him -- 11.5 sacks, 2 Super Bowls and one ring; pay him almost $7mm. He leaves for 104mm/63mm guaranteed, and we get back a 3rd round comp pick.

That's epic general managing.

Tbh i think if Howie was being honest that his only mistake last offseason wasn’t getting a deal done with Williams then instead of going after huff. But it is what it is.

Tunsil traded to Commanders

Adam Peters is terrible. He thinks they're close. Tunsil will be 31 before the season.

Bears signing Grady Jarrett

I respect them throwing all their money at the trenches

Learning from the best

Thank you Commanders for trying to win in 2025 and not build a long-term contender.

2nd, 3rd and a 4th round pick swap for Tunsil

Wow, that's surprising. And depending on what they gave up, a solid move by Washington.

Wow huge move by the commanders

Is this the first trade of the year where both teams look stupid?

Okay, so the Pack didn't just get better? Ok. Guess only the eagles make good smart moves and everyone else are turds.

DT Snaps from 2022 to 2024. Notice the increase in Williams snaps, and Ojomo starting to follow that path. There wasn't much for Ojomo as a rookie but he jumped from 5.85% snaps to 37% in his 2nd year. Williams went from 35% to 42% then a small bump to 47.85%. Ojomo could increase to around 45-47% snap range next year and they supplement with a rookie and/or veteran signing after the initial free agency wave at a more reasonable deal.

And another good move by an NFC team in the division.

Tunsil is still a pro bowl level player and 30 for a lineman isn’t old. I think it’s a good move for the Commanders.

The 2nd and 4th are in 2026. When their picks will be much higher with their major regression.

Last year I understood going with a heavy older veteran roster for Washington. This year I felt they needed to find younger pieces to grow with Daniels long term. Between this & Deebo trade I feel Washington hasn’t made the big strides I expected them too.

Gave up a 2026 2nd, 3rd and 2026 4th for tunsil and Texans 4th

It’s a great move for them

2 years left on his deal. $21.35mm per year, but only $10mm of 2025 guaranteed. Guessing he gets an extension.

That’s what I was thinking

Really good move by them.  Makes a lot more sense than the Debo move.  Skins have extra picks to play with.
