Hes a small school guy who the online scouting community hasnt caught on to much yet. I dont think hes a mid-late round guy. I dont see why hes not a 2nd or 3rd round guy. Probably will be.

Seems like a Pitt pick

It's only 10% (max), but I'd appeal that if I were you.

I’m 100 P&T, had about 12 claims that were service connected that I don’t even have ratings for because i was already there!  Apparently I’m in the spectrum of ‘acceptable’ hearing.  Oh well…it’s in my file and if there’s continuing issues the VA will take care of it I’m sure.

Yeah, that 10% won't do anything for you at 100% P&T. It might not even do anything at other ratings, knowing the VA's math. lol

There will definitely be a Stoutland reclamation project signing this off season.  I saw someone suggest an Evan Neal trade. Not sure I see it in Neal but there will be someone.

When the VFW claim guy came to our transition class i went cross eyed when the formula was explained to me.  It makes sense now…but at the time i was like wtf.

That was after my time. In my case, it happened in Basic Training (summer of 1988 at Fort Jackson in SC). We were out on bivouac for a week or 10 days of training. Part of the training was the high and low crawl, which afterward (that night), was a mock battlefield 'invasion' on the Night Infiltration Course, followed the next night by live fire range training with tracers and in full MOPP gear (battlefield protection against chemical warfare... gas masks and such) similar to this image, but we didn't have Kevlar helmets:

(Long story, put in a spoiler box for those not interested lol)

The low crawl training pit was about a football field in length, filled with mulch and sawdust. You have to crawl on your belly (as low to the ground as you can get) with your head in the sawdust as if there was machine gun fire over your head and if you pick your head up, you die.

During the afternoon training, there was no machine gun fire, so no need for ear plugs. We kept the ear plugs in a little case hanging  from our web gear suspenders. Well, as you can imagine, crawling on your belly could cause things like that to break off and get lost in 6 inches of sawdust over a 100 yard pit. That's what happened to mine and several others in my platoon.

When I noticed they were gone, I told my drill sergeant, but we were so far away from our supply room that he wasn't going to send a truck back to the company area just for 8 to 10 pairs of ear plugs. So we did without them for all of our live fire training.

The night of the "Night Infiltration Course", we were low crawling across the 'battlefield' with M-60 fire going over hour heads (probably 20 feet above us), with explosions going off like you'd see in a war movie, and one of those explosions went off RIGHT next to me. I was so close to it that in a real war, had that happened, I wouldn't be here right now... which I actually don't think I'd ever thought of in those terms until right now lol.

That was so close that it 'muted' my hearing so an extent. The next night we were on the M-16 night fire range, all live ammo, of course. So two nights in a row without hearing protection. By the time we were finished, my hearing was so diminished that I really thought that it was permanently damaged to the point of hardly being able to hear. I told my drill sergeant when we were back at the barracks, and he sent me to the hearing clinic where they did hearing tests and such and detected some hearing loss but by that time, it was getting better and eventually got back almost to normal. But I was left with tinnitus.

The Night Infiltration Course was really cool and fun to do, but that's where the damage began.

This image seems like a shorter distance than what we covered, but that was in 1988 and in the moment, it may have just felt like it was a longer distance and they're crawling in the same direction as the machine gun fire, we were crawling toward it and those 'explosion pits' seem to have a larger barrier around them, because I was right next to it when it went off.

I'd never heard of 'tinnitus' before until 15 or 20 years ago watching an episode of 'Shatner's Raw Nerve' where he interviewed Leonard Nimoy and they spoke about it. I was like.. "That's what I have!" It was just always there (since my incident). I didn't know it had a name.

Come to think of it, I was at the range once at Fort Hood without hearing protection too. Ear plugs were a thing back then, but they weren't necessarily thought of as a necessity.

Damn interesting.  Thanks for sharing.  Never served (that way - hopefully 28:years serving in local appointed and elected positions somewhat paid my dues) and have all the respect for those of you that did.

And the Eagles knew it.

Incredible focus, belief and trust in each other.

If we're going to draft a DL in RD1, give me Darius Alexander. Go back to the Toledo well.

Pick 32 is a bit early for him.  Trade down and then pick him

Reich for QB coach I mean. I don't think he'd be brought back as OC.

One name I could see getting the OC job over Patullo is Josh McCown. I think the Eagles view him as a top coaching prospect. He's probably a few years away though, but maybe they'd like him so much they'd give him the job. I think him getting it over Patullo though wouldn't sit well with Patullo. Scheelhaase is also a name they were linked to before.

Is McCown currently calling the plays?

During one of my pre deployment training stints we did a massive platoon (Flight) sized fire and maneuver react to contact drill.  My Flight Sgt said we couldn’t wear ear protection because in a firefight we wouldn’t have time to put it in…

So i had the pleasure of laying in a ditch with about 40-50 M4’s going off to my left and right with about 15 HMMWV’s on the road above us firing 249’s, 240’s and M2’s.  It was so loud that after about 30 seconds you could feel every individual round fire in your bones.

Then I had a fun day in Iraq where my dewsh gunner slipped in his turret and hit the butterfly on his M2 as i was getting out of the HMMWV…nice ‘little’ 50 cal going off about 2 feet from my head.

i have literal CTE/scars in my brain from the multiple IED strikes, all on CAT scan…my hearing - ‘not service connected’ lol

The ish we did to afford our drinking habits back in the day?  Right…

Not meaning to be political or anything like that but "not service related” pisses me off.  VA should, by law, presume it is service related.  If any of us deserve top flight healthcare, it’s not the bozos in Congress or the Cabinet, it’s folks that put their lives on the line to keep us free.  ANYTHING else just pisses me off.

It was extremely obvious that Pump wasnt ever going to have a chance in he NFL. But I get it.

I rarely respond to him, or anything about him anyway. Your dislike for my on point Hurts analysis is not my issue.

Actually, most of your Hurts points are correct but the constant pushing the message drone was unnecessary per my thinking as we understood your points. It’s the droning on and on that made it troll like. Don’t think I complained about a specific point you made.  My solution was to just scan on.  I tend to be like @austinfan in that approach. But you inspired Hurts to prove you wrong and we have a Super Bowl victory to celebrate as a result, so thanks.

I don’t think the Eagles can get any more than a 4th or 5th round pick for Pickett or McKee.  Nobody is trading for either one to be their starter.

Completely agree, I'm just hoping for one desperate team.

maybe the problem is the game day posting where I get annoyed by each bad play. Adds a lot of posts about it.

Yeah, 10% disabled makes you 90% abled, so another 10% disabled added to that doesn't make you 20% disabled, it makes you 19% disabled since 10% of 90% is 9%, so now you're 81% abled and another 10% would make you 27.1% and so on. Of course, they round up or down, accordingly. So 19% is rounded up to 20%, so same difference. But at some point, you could have a 10% disability that doesn't really do anything.

It's been a week and I'm still on cloud 9.   It's so hard to even think about the Offseason right now.  I'll be more in tune during the Draft. But the Offense seems to be locked in.  It's the D that we need to work out some deals.
