Lol, I would hope some player trolls him, but I don't want him throwing a tantrum during the visit. I never watch the visits, so hopefully it's a drama free one.

OK board. Knowing what Howie's plan is. What players on this team do you feel are the true CORE? Which players are they building around for the long-haul and who might not be viewed as that big picture piece?

Define long haul, we talking next 3-4 seasons or next 5-7?

If he doesn't get any traction on the open market, bring back Kenny G for 1 year, $2mm or something.

That would work too.

I wasn’t a big CJGJ fan, but add me to the group that isn’t even a little bit confident in Brown. He’s looked lost out there. McCollum is a scrub. I suspect we’ll be adding a vet.

Sydney Brown doesn't have the deep 3rd instincts to play in this scheme. He could maybe take Coop's spot, but moving Coop outside to play Brown is bad. We'll replace Sydney with a vet or a top 100 pick.

Man, Fanatics stuff runs small. The clothes I ordered, I ordered them in sizes I normally wear and none of it fits. I gotta return all of it. Holy crap man, how tedious. And order all of it again in a bigger size.

Maybe I'll keep one of them, it's a snug fit, not unwearable, but not comfortable.

Say no way to Miles Sanders.

Bad pass catcher.

Suspect vision.

Bad pass protection.

Mental errors in crucial moments.

Pass. He left Carolina because they couldn't agree on a paycut, so I don't think he's necessarily willing to play for cheap either.

He’s not a "bad pass catcher” lol and he has good vision.

Not sure about pass protection - maybe could be better there.

Yeah I'm a complete Howie convert. I trust him completely right now.  If preseason ends and the safety position looks weak then I'll say so but until then I'm assuming he'll address it adequately before the season

He will wipe out one of our prized high comp picks

They already have 2 3rds next year, and now 2 5ths after the CJGJ trade. Even if they only get 2 out of 3 comp picks, they still have 10 picks in 2026. Yea, those comp picks are nice, but losing out on one of them to add an impact player now is the trade off.

If Ojulari signs and brings his 6 sacks and 7 TFL, is that better than a 4th round comp pick? You can also argue that with this Eagles DL, Ojulari should put up better numbers here.

Sanders' vision is bad, that's why he was only good here and why he lost the starting job in Carolina. Dude was the king of leaving meat on the bone here and without an all pro line he was garbage

Fanatics monopolizing the sports gear world is one of the worst things to happen.

Just saw a stat that CJGJ was 86/105 in missed tackle rate, which makes sense based off watching the games. Guessing that helped smooth his exit.

Of course, Brown has been a missed tackle machine when he plays defense...

I think the only way they pay Ojulari is if the comp is favorable to them which would be a lower comp pick anyway

Retro post...

Go ahead and read what the Jets fans say about Becton....

Or what Bills fans said about Jason Peters.

I trust Howie too, but I don't think it's totally out of the realm of possibility that they could gamble on young guys or unproven guys, it not work out, and then after the season they just kinda go "oops."

It's what they did in 2023. They came into the season with Morrow and Cunningham as the LBs and Edmunds and Blankenship as the safeties and it was a disaster. I don't think they simply didn't care about those positions, I think they gambled to invest more elsewhere and it didn't work. It's not impossible it could happen again. It will come down to their evaluations. If their evaluations of Trotter Jr, Ringo, Brown are wrong, the defense is going to take a noticeable step back. If their evaluations aren't, it won't. It's all about their player evals.

His rookie year was the only time he was good in a pass catching role. Outside of that he averaged 147 receiving yards a season across 5 years. And it didn't change at all in Carolina. And he's had a ton of drops. He had 8 in only 52 targets one year. He's a bad pass catcher.

Saw someone mention Marcus Williams. Ravens are releasing him tomorrow. Totally forgot about him. Now that is a name I like. May be out of their price range though, we'll see.

Green was worse but we didn't sign him he was added to a deal we wanted to make

He’s not a good slot either. It’s safety or bust.

Obviously Becton is gone.  Who do they have in mind at safety? Seems weird to make the defense worse

I’m coming to this late so this response may be outdated, but my answer to your Safety question is Cine, but possibly Brown.

Terrible comp. We didn’t trade a starter for him.

Funny thing is I actually lost a little weight and it still doesn't fit which shows how awful Fanatics is. Michael Rubin is the worst.

Shame. I've had good luck with them. Rally House probably uses the same suppliers.

We didn't trade CJGJ for Green. He was thrown into the deal
