What are you arguing?  They did lose 7 impact players on defense.  The sky doesn’t have to be falling for that to be a fact.

I guess I just I don't consider those all to be "impact" players. I don't consider Josh Sweat an impact player and he was a starter.

Freak out?   Not really.  It was pretty much expected that he'd leave before free agency began.  But, we'll see what happens with it.   The odds were always better than 50-50 that he'd leave.   If he comes back... that's great.  But, at this point, having Baun back, I can live with the losses and wait around to get the additions to the squad.

 

Folks seem to be forgetting that Becton wasn't added to the team until 2 days AFTER the draft last year.   We are in the early stages of the offseason.

I view all of them as important.  Josh Sweat definitely disappeared for weeks at a time, but then he saved the best for the Superbowl.

I view them all as they definitely played a part but that part can and will be replaced. An impact player is not easily replaced. Milton Williams would be the closest to that to what we lost but even that could be argued because he played next to Carter all year.

Calm down Sally Underpants.  I’m not saying the sky is falling at all.  We just have different definitions and views of "impact” players.
