The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

There is some chat about Bryant being a TE who can block:

Allen touted Bryant's ability as a blocker in special personnel situations that require two tight ends. "He's going to be a movement tight end," Allen said. "He's going to play like a fullback." Bryant also has a talent for getting open on red zone counter plays

Although his receiving numbers have been modest, he is a plus blocker. In 2022, he ranked fifth in pass blocking out of 57 tight ends who played at least 400 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus and in 2023 he ranked second out of 55 who played 400 snaps. He played a career-low 213 snaps last year.

The bigger hits for Bradberry, BG and Slay will be on the books next year

True. Kelce and Cox will be done, not all five. My bad.

Should have just traded him at the deadline when there were actually teams interested.

Accusations still at this point, but he probably paid her off.

Damn he choke slammed her?

He must be a fan of the Undertaker.

Does Zack Baun only weigh 225 pounds?  I never really thought about it until I was searching for something the other day and noticed it.  I searched 3-4 different places and kept getting the same number.  Guess i was thinking he was high 235-250

Probably.

It goes for final engraving. At the Super Bowl, the trophy just says NFC Champion vs AFC Champion. It gets the date, teams and score added later.

Howie is exploiting a massive inefficiency in the salary cap system -- the ability to basically take interest free loans. The money hitting for Kelce and Cox -- has we taken those hits in 2022 and 2023, they would have been a greater percentage of the cap than they are now. Since he is constantly structuring contracts with min salaries, large option bonuses and void years, the cap numbers for our current players is well below the cash payouts. For example, Hurts has been paid $64.3mm in cash the last 2 years while the cap charges have only been less than $20mm. It's the same with all the big money contracts, on the theory the cap always increases.

The nuclear bomb comes in 2029 if Hurts is not extended. Jalen would be $97.5mm of dead money but not under contract (no way this happens). $35.8 for Smitty, $31.1 for SB, $35 for Landon and even a hit for Jake. Now, some of those guys will be extended, some will be traded/cut before finishing the contracts. But the only real monster issue is Jalen.

Sure.  But, it has a down side.  Like I said, pros and cons.   They are constantly paying for past performance, because they are underpaying for current performance.   There's a give and take, but there is a negative to it... we are now paying for 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023.  It is what it is.   I didn't say it was a bad strategy, I said it had cons.

Kind of weird that I want to see them trade Goedert.  I guess it’s just because I expect him to play about 8-10 games next year and really like some TEs in the draft and the Pitts pipe dream.

Do the players get to spend a day with the trophy like the NHL players with the Stanley Cup?

That would require a real GM

Adoree? Fine.

I think it’s important to know how to play chess, but to be really good at is a waste of time.

Adoree is not very good. Not really a fan of the signings they made. Fine going cheaper guys, just not big on the players.
