I'm always going to happy for players like Milton to get the bag elsewhere, or for Kenny who was blocked from starting here to get that opportunity in another city. They did things the right way. Hope they crush it.

I share those sentiments

That's assuming the Eagles actually make a pick in the first round.  🤔

Not only is it not time to move on from Tom Cruise but he's planning on doing a movie filmed in outer space where he does his own outer space stunts. Tom Cruise is the action GOAT and I'll be damned if I tolerate any Tom Cruise slander. Dude is single handedly keeping movie theaters alive by being the star of the only movies actually worth seeing as a theater experience rather than streaming at home.

Yes! Someone who GETS it. Tom Cruise is a gawd damn national treasure.

I see Will Johnson (CB Michigan) slipping in a few mocks into the 20's.  Would you be upset if we traded up some to get him?

Also Mike Green the Edge from Marshall apparently had a sexual assault charge in High School and another one while he was at UVA.  Chiefs or Cowboys?

Accusations, not charges. Very important difference.

Oooooo stunts in zero gravity! Such strength! What a bad ass!

The guy did a nice job for us, for 4 years. Played special teams, recovered a fumble in NFC title game. Can’t we just wish him well (except when they play us)?

It was a funny comment based on his comments in the video, acting like he was a huge part of the Super Bowl.

At the 2:45 mark on this scene, Tommy C grimaces and limps after the leap because he actually broke his ankle during that jump and they kept it in the movie to portray realism. A legend dedicated to his craft.

 How is that a gotcha moment with the quote when Hurts at one point was the highest paid player

He didn't take less to help build the team

I didn't say it was a "gotcha" moment. I didn't say anything, just posted two different quotes.

My takeaway is Milton said it would be a better moment that winning a Super Bowl. Everyone wants to get paid of course.

I am pretty sure a Lombardi trophy sitting in the trophy case inside Lincoln Financial field wouldnt change my life as much as 100+ million dollars would.

Lombardi is a biggest moment of career. Life changing money of generational wealth proportions qualifies as a strong contender as the biggest day of ones life imo.

Look this is going to sound awful, I don't need some 80 year old woman in Arkansas winning Power Ball, it should be me!  Woman has no idea how to properly spend/use it and it is wasted on her inbred relatives and gone in a couple of years!  Same with NFL players.....they get paid what should be generational wealth, but MOST, not all piss it away on houses, cars, women, jewelry, clothes and are broke after retiring.  It's honestly pathetic.  #bitteroldman lol

Cooper Kupp is washed + Miles Sanders can only play behind good OLs given his vision limitations. Thanks Dallas!

Do you remember the good old days when going to the Philadelphia Airport took you past this just before the Passyunk bridge

2022 draft ended up being kind of crazy

1st: Jordan Davis - started 17 games each of the last 2 years, probable re-sign at good value

2nd: Cam Jurgens - pro bowl center, probable re-sign

3rd: Nakobe Dean - developed into a pro bowl caliber LB, probable re-sign

6th: Grant Calcaterra - Possibly our future starting TE

UDFA:

Josh Sills - Still on Colts practice squad, signed to futures contract in January

Reed BlankenShip - Starting Safety and probable re-sign

Josh Jobe - Currently on Seahawks active Roster

Mario Goodrich - Active UFL player, was in training camp with the Giants in 2024

Britain Covey - Still an active roster member of the Eagles

Carson Strong - For the LoLs

Teams are lucky to get a couple everyday players out of an entire draft group, and a single PS guy out of a UDFA group. Howie killed it this year. Is this the best UDFA hall we’ve ever had?

Yea, we might not be able to afford it.

I know it sucks we aren't signing everyone and their mothers but.....is it just me or does this years free agency class just suck?  Meaning all of these NFL teams signing all of these players to big contracts are just pissing money away or signing to sign players?

The Eagles had the best roster top to bottom EASILY last year.  Yes, they've lost players off of their defense but....when you look at it, they still have the best roster, one of the youngest rosters if not the youngest rosters in the NFL.  Yes, maybe the gap of best roster to others has decreased but they are doing the right thing.

They needed to reign in the spending with Jurgens, Blankenship, Carter, Smith (and eventually Q and Coop) extensions on the horizon. We've seen in the past coming off the '18 Super Bowl keeping all of you older players and what happens....no thank you.

While it isn't exciting or glamorous, I do think the Eagles and Howie are doing the smart thing.  HOPEFULLY, they can keep their draft mojo going because the next two years can set them up for the next 5 to 10.  I know...it's a big IF!

What has been strange about this FA period is how frequently a team has cut one of their own players, incurring Dead Cap, and the going out and signing a replacement for inflated dollars that are more than their cut player was making, and then the cut player signing with another team for essentially the same (or more) than their cutting team was paying them.  Why not continue on with the original player?

The two Eagles cuts, Slay and Bradberry, deviated from that pattern because the replacement player was drafted, on the roster, and much less expensive rather than more expensive.

Put it this way there was no one in this class that I'd have been willing to sign if it meant I had to lose the chance to re-sign Nolan Smith

Count me in on that thought as well.

It would be entertaining to see the 180 fans would do if Howie moves on from Davis

At this point in the process, I'm genuinely surprised Becton is still a UFA.

As I said yesterday, it really isn’t a surprise to me.  Becton is a plus run blocker but only a meh pass blocker.  In today’s NFL having a running game as option one only works for less than a handful of teams.  Most teams want their O-Line to protect their QB first and foremost.  Becton doesn’t consistently give them that.  Thus the hesitancy

Modern movies suck. It's basically all doom and gloom, comic book multi universe crap or unneeded remake etc. We don't get any new original comedies or action movies. The last movie I truly got excited about was Top Gun Maverick. Coincidentally, this is from Jerry Bruckheimer too. Should be a good one.

If you're talking about movies you have to see in IMAX then, yes, I agree. They suck, almost universally. Ridley Scott's Napoleon might be the worst movie I've ever seen. Christopher Nolan makes good ones, though.

However, there are many lower budget films and series that are worthwhile. If you have a big screen TV with decent sound there is almost limitless content. In my view, the medium has shifted. The $150M budget films have become so expensive that they have to fall into a certain set of tropes to make money. It's not the lack of creativity; it's the sheer cost. I have no interest in Marvel movies, for example. But anything Mia Goth or Emma Stone is in, I'm there. And my vote for best action hero these days is Charlise Theron. Mad Max: Thunder Road, Atomic Blonde, The Old Guard, all terrific.
