At the 2:45 mark on this scene, Tommy C grimaces and limps after the leap because he actually broke his ankle during that jump and they kept it in the movie to portray realism. A legend dedicated to his craft.

Yep, this is example A. of him doing his own work.

Here's another

The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

If we don't re-sign Becton you might only be looking at a 6th rd comp pick, possibly a 5 at best.

It is interesting to look at the OTC projected Comps and then the cancellation chart to assign AAVs to the names.  It looks like the 5th round range is between $8 million AAV and $18 million AAV

If you're talking about movies you have to see in IMAX then, yes, I agree. They suck, almost universally. Ridley Scott's Napoleon might be the worst movie I've ever seen. Christopher Nolan makes good ones, though.

And my vote for best action hero these days is Charlise Theron. Mad Max: Thunder Road, Atomic Blonde, The Old Guard, all terrific.

I second Charlize...that fight scene in Atomic Blonde is amazing to watch. It looks like it all takes place in one take...incredible choreography and camera work.

I'm hoping we pick up one new player who doesn't project to play in preseason game #3.  Is that too high a bar?

Will there even be a preseason game #3?

Howie read the market and while we definitely lost really good to good players, Howie had his finger on the pulse.  For the $$, the only guy I truly wish we signed was Burks.  Rodgers a close 2nd, but you can see the strategy: low cost veteran back ups that won't be here for 2026 when this group of 2025 draft picks are entering their 2nd year.

I think the Eagles will be drafting WR in 2026 anticipating positional turnover in a year or two while having to pay Mitchell/Dejean/Cater/Smith/ Mailata/Dickerson and maybe Ojomo/Hunt extensions.

Davis is a bit of a contract mystery right now.

Davis’s 5th year is looking like a significant bargain when compared to the DT contracts given out this offseason.  As a result the mystery has become minimal.

It would be entertaining to see the 180 fans would do if Howie moves on from Davis

I'm sort of 50-50 on it.   I could see both outcomes being a logical choice.  That's a hard one to know what's going to happen.   Milton Williams was a clear choice.  He said no to a moderate contract prior to last season, balled out like crazy and got himself a crazy pay day.  Good for him.  Bad for the Eagles, but paying him would have been way worse.  He's not worth that money.  And they'll need more than that to be able to resign Carter, who has a much bigger impact... on more snaps.

I watched the Eagle Eye Podcast last night and they raised some good points about Betcont.

-how much of his success was Jeff Stoutland?

-how much of his success was playing between Cam Jurgens and Lane Johnson?

-is his knee OK?

-do teams view him as a RG now or is he still being viewed as a T?

-how much is Becton asking for?

All good points.  Are they points that Howie and Nick and Stout are pondering, or are just the other teams pondering them?

Not only is it not time to move on from Tom Cruise but he's planning on doing a movie filmed in outer space where he does his own outer space stunts. Tom Cruise is the action GOAT and I'll be damned if I tolerate any Tom Cruise slander. Dude is single handedly keeping movie theaters alive by being the star of the only movies actually worth seeing as a theater experience rather than streaming at home.

Agreed, love that crazy little bastid

Eagles signed a long snapper apparently. 34 years old from the Browns

End of an era, but it doesn’t bring down the team’s average age.  Draftee/UDFA too?

Wow.   This is bad.   It's not just Green though, a lot of it seems to be the way these guys are coached to block.   For example, the 3rd play... why would they want to give the RB the inside responsibility and have the Guard and Tackle block out?

The 4th play, with the double team and he climbs to the next level isn't bad... but the whole play is a disaster for the most part.   It's 6 on 7, and the 7th guy is unblocked and steps up to make the play easily.   That LT is also terrible as well.   Is that Tunsil?

The 5th play he has ZERO balance.   Heavily legged waist bender moment... ends up with his head out over his feet and just falls forward.  :nonono:

I trust that Stoutland might be able to fix some of these issues, but there appear to be a lot of issues to fix.

Maybe so, but as Reacher? That’s just a horrible joke.

The current casting of Reacher is solid though.

After you have gotten the ball in the hole on all 18 greens, why would you want to do it again.

My dad use to work at Center Valley for a long time up until they closed the course down.  I probably played it over 250 times.

I tried to watch the show, but gave up after about 5 episodes. The writing and the acting were just awful.

I like the MI movies, and respect Cruise for being a peformer and dedicated to the stunts and providing the spectacles for audiences. I liked the new movie, saw it opening weekend (a friend is a huge fan and wanted to go).

However, just to point out the recent MI movie didn't do as well at the box office. He's not "single handedly" keeping movie theaters alive. Barbieheimer, comic book movies, remakes and sequels were in the top 10, MI was #13 in domestic box office in 2023.

And yes there is a whole sub-forum on this board for For Your Entertainment. There is life outside the blog!

My dad broke par for the first time there as well.

I really miss it, I cant think of another course that's a traditional links style on the front nine and wooded north american style on the back.

Sounds like "too much sense" = "they offered the most money".

Because of those 3... the Saints are likely the worst landing spot from a football perspective.  (not sure the Titans are any great thing either, but at least they aren't in cap purgatory... ironically... if the Saints offered the most money.).
