Rodgers friends at a party: "Man you didn't do anything this year."

Rodgers: "it was the rotation, you know it's politics. They're gonna get me in there next year. Big things coming."

Do we think they would consider going CB round 1 with the selections from last year? I really don't think so, but would be open to some of the names, especially if the d-line position is decimated by 25 or so, or when we are on the clock at 32.

The discussions of taking Malaki Starks at Safety in Round 1 are susceptible to the same issues/considerations.

Goedert is a damn good player. I find it hard to believe that if they keep one player their entire future plans and cap situation falls apart. Find a way to keep the guy, my god.

Probably because from 2014 to 2024 he threw 0 training camp interceptions.

Not only is it not time to move on from Tom Cruise but he's planning on doing a movie filmed in outer space where he does his own outer space stunts. Tom Cruise is the action GOAT and I'll be damned if I tolerate any Tom Cruise slander. Dude is single handedly keeping movie theaters alive by being the star of the only movies actually worth seeing as a theater experience rather than streaming at home.

I haven't watched a Tom Cruise movie in a quarter century.

And Tropic Thunder does NOT count as a Tom Cruise movie.

Made too much sense to join one of the worst run teams in the league

So he's a safety, that would be different in my mind from say Johnson, Morrison, Revel etc. the pure outside corners...

I find the underlined interesting and something that may hold a lot of value with our FO considering where this team is heading with the young guys. This is Daniel Jeremiah's write up.

Starks split his time between nickelback and safety in the Bulldogs' defense. When he was in the slot, he showed quick feet with the ability to flip his hips and mirror underneath. To see him at his best, watch him carry a vertical route, stay in phase and high point a deep ball against Clemson. From off coverage, he’s aggressive to squat on routes, and he’s had wins andlosses because of it. He was caught flat-footed a few times in the games I studied. In the deep half, he takes good angles in pursuit and is a firm tackler in space. Sources at Georgia speak very highly of his character. His intelligence and leadership ability have blown NFL teams away in meetings. Overall, Starks didn’t make as many plays this past season as he did in 2023, but he has the versatility to move around the field and provide a lot of value.

A DB nonetheless … and most importantly not a DL.

Personally I have no problem with either a Campbell or Starks selection.

Aaron Rodgers making another offseason all about himself. Just make a damn decision already.

My only point was, would we draft a pure outside CB in round 1? I personally do not think so, not that I would be against it.
Safety or even slot is a different subject to me.

ESP tracking that & being serious about it too is so hilarious to me

Pretty sure I've only ever seen 3 movies with Tom Cruise in it:

Rain Man -- the movie was carried by Dustin Hoffman.  Rain Man, starring Dustin Hoffman, and a few other people

Top Gun -- I remember that movie for Val Kilmer mostly

The Last Samurai -- Cruise was completely blown off the screen by Chow Yun-fat's performance

He's the absolute worst. Hard to think of many future HOF players who are as universally disliked by the end of their careers who didn't commit domestic violence.

I still enjoy the Mission Impossible movies. The last one was good.

10 Caddyshack Quotes You Probably Say All the Time

Watched the movie not long ago and was struck by what a dump that golf course was.

It's awful.  Both the movie and the course.

Goedert’s trade market probably dwindled down a bit after Engram signed with Denver. I really would like his fit with the Chargers. Given his injury history + deep TE draft a 4th is probably best you could get for him though.

Huff’s trade market? Probably a $20 Amazon gift card at best. If Howie pulls off a decent trade for Huff I’ll be pleasantly surprised

Lately I am intrigued by the idea of a trade back from 32 and selecting Xavier Watts, Safety from Notre Dame:

"Looking ahead to the NFL, Watts profiles as an immediate impact player whose versatility will have defensive coordinators salivating. His combination of instincts and athleticism screams day-one starter, particularly in systems that emphasize split-safety looks and pattern-matching concepts. Smart defensive play-callers will leverage his background as a receiver, using him to disguise coverages and bait quarterbacks into mistakes.

The team that drafts Watts isn't just getting a safety - they're getting a defensive weapon who can be deployed at multiple levels of the defense. His skill set particularly fits with teams running quarters-based coverage schemes that allow him to read and react while keeping everything in front of him. Don't be surprised to see him make an immediate impact similar to how Antoine Winfield Jr. burst onto the scene.

This is a player whose film gets better with every viewing. While some may point to his relative inexperience at the position, his rapid development curve suggests he's only scratching the surface of his potential. In a league where creating turnovers is increasingly difficult, Watts' ball-hawking ability and chess-match mentality make him a potential game-changer at the next level."

Aaron Rodgers isn't making the offseason about him, other people are making it about him. The guy is literally not doing anything and somehow he's still doing something wrong. People just don't like the guy so they push an agenda no matter what he does. What's wrong with taking time to make a decision.

BG is doing the same thing on his retirement and no one's calling him an attention ****.

If Rodgers wasn't a weirdo, no one would be getting on him right now for doing something that is perfectly normal and acceptable. If teams don't want to wait, then they are more than welcome to move on and sign someone else. They are not entitled to Rodgers making a decision on their timelines. People are just addicted to football news so they get antsy when there's a lull and they're taking it out on Rodgers like a drug addict who gets unnerved when they are without a fix.

Glad you said something because Watts has become a 2nd round guy I’d love for them to target also.

He wasn’t on Daniel Jeremiah’s recent top 50, so I wonder if you could trade up from 64 and get him. But I’d love to add him to the secondary.
