Quite disappointing. I do hope he was out of our league financially, both for him and for our comp pick.

Perhaps folks like us underestimated his prior knee injury and behavioral issues in NY and overestimated his play this season.

I would have liked to have kept Becton, but for the most part the offense still hummed when he was out of lineup. That's not the case with Goedert, however, so I would be ticked if he's not on our team this coming season.

Baun was always the most significant free agent we had this year, and they got him done. So I'm good with what's happening (except for the rumors about Goedert).

I'm ready to move on from him. He's great but his health is an issue and it's not going to get any better

Plus the ball doesn't come to the TE as much for a big contract. It's mainly Barkley, Brown, Hurts, and Smith. And even Smith and Brown have seen a decrease

It would be but I don't see it happening

Unfortunately, none of the TEs we have rostered can block like Goedert to help transcend any meager receiving production.

It was painfully obvious Becton was a goner when we traded for the bust from Houston.

I’m sure they did, they don’t seem to be willing to pay anyone this offseason more than like 2 million.

10 people one million vs 1 good one that

There isn’t a team that has more information about Becton as a guard than the Eagles. If he signed a cheap deal (and the Eagles offering some sort of real money for Justin Reid) would suggest they weren’t as enthused about him as a player or the long-term health of his knee.

Any money figures out there?

No money figures means low money figures.

It really is too bad that Bryce Huff might have cost us like two good players.

Becton was PFFs 19th best run blocker. We saw him kill some people for Saquon. He was also the 60th best pass blocker. (64 starters on 32 teams) Some of those instant pressure push Hurts out of FG range may have been on him.

I will miss a 6'7" 365 dude demolishing people but I get why they did not invest in him beyond the one year flier.

He's going to help the Chargers to be an elite run game. Najee Harris should be thrilled.  Herbert might want to wear a Guardian Cap and work on agility.

Its PFF rankings so here is a salt mine to take it with:

I think part of the draw was that he would improve as a pass blocker, especially against blitzes, loops and stunts, with more time at guard.

I liked Becton but the team will plug someone else in and they will also be good. It’s one thing I think the Eagles can be trusted with.

Grab a quality OG in RD3 or RD4 for depth and to challenge if Steen struggles.

Dylan Fairchild, Georgia

Luke Kandra, Cincinnati

The play in the draft is to trade up for Tyler Warren.  2-3 firsts if needed.

One of the more annoying offseasons so far in recent memory but will withhold judgement until the season plays out

It would be really nice if Steen could step up and give us a cheap, quality guard for two years.

He can, and he will.

Hollywood Lurie is still trying to get the Celtics despite what he said a month or two ago.

The only wrong play that has been made so far is trading CJGJ.  Beyond that it's the hypotheticals of trading Goedert when really we should try to work out out 2-3 year extension if we can.

Has to get up to $18 million AAV to be a 4th.  Over $8 million for a 5th

When we see Becton's contract and he inevitably gets not very much I'll rationalize it by going oh they have Steen to step in they could use that money on another Edge or safety...

....until Ojulari signs for like 1 year 4m with a team not named the Eagles and Blackmon signs for 1 year 3m  with another team not the Eagles.

RIP in peace

Becton seemed to really love it here too, so I think he would've taken slightly less money to stay, so if he signed for a really below market deal, he must've really been lowballed, if they even offered him a contract at all.

I think it became obvious the Eagles weren’t putting that money into offense. I  doubt Becton got very much but there’s fact that it’s a two year deal makes me think it was at least 7 per to get a 6

Do you really think it is as low as 7 per?  Wow!
