Not to mention the NFL Pension if they accrued more than 3 seasons. It's not much, but it's something.

@Iggles_Phan FYI - see hyperlink above, if curious.

Yeah, I don't think Graham should be back so there is still a need for a true DE, a 260-lb-plus player who can set the edge

This is older but something to keep in mind

Berman said Lane has not given him the indication he wants to retire soon, he wants to keep playing and wants to build on his legacy and win more rings.

I know Lane made the off hand comments about retiring when his contract is up, but as long as the Eagles contend I think he'll play til his body breaks down.

I think this is Lane's last deal to ensure he retires after 2026 as a one-team guy his entire career.  Not that he was ever likely to go anyplace else, but this pays him to the end.

If you didn’t know Hunt played safety in college, what about his playoff performance would suggest limited pass rush upside and ‘jack of all trades master of none’? What would have reminded you of Carlos Emmons?

The way he moves in space, looks comfortable doing so. Most DE/LB types are limited to dropping a few steps then trying to figure out what they're supposed to do, and lack the lateral agility to shadow a receiver, so they basically just try to take up space.

He's not as explosive as most pass rush specialist undersized DEs, though he's starting to fill out that frame and use his hands, could grow into a conventional DE but that would be a waste of his talents in this scheme.

Wow.  That's ridiculously tiny.

Hopefully not like Peters. That was just sad to watch

Believe it or not, Jalyx Hunt is already nearly there.   He's 250+.   He could add 10 lbs of muscle this offseason.

And weirdly, the one guy who might have set the best edge this past year, other than Graham, was Nolan Smith.   He does a great job with his arms extended holding off the OT.  Granted, with the triceps tear, that might not come back right away... or maybe it will given the time to recover.

Jurgens probably up next.

He's not had that same level of injury history as JP.   But, yeah, I agree 100%.   I do wonder if JP had money troubles along the lines of Steve Carlton.   Carlton got robbed by his money manager and hung on as long as humanly possible while he had earning potential.   Such a sad end to a truly great career... for both of them.

That dip against the Packers is elite. Man, I hope he's 100% healthy and continues to ascend.

The monthly amount doesn’t seem so bad after reading the fine print… but fixed amount vs 30yrs of inflation (oof!).

I'm not sure that Carter, Mitchell, or Baun were any better than Nolan Smith down the stretch this past year.  Those 3 took the headlines (deservedly so), but I think Nolan Smith was that good in the playoffs.

His closing speed is pretty good too.  Not too many QBs outrun him... not even the likes of Jayden Daniels.

Assuming Jurgens gets extended that will make 8 O starters under contract for next 3 years.  Amazing stability.  RG, WR3 & TE will likely be rookies or rotate vets as needed for cap purposes.

From the time BG went out, he really came on amazingly.

Is that Mike Tyson? 🤔

There's a lot to be excited about if Uche and Ojulari come close to what they are capable of. Two under 26 year old edge rushers with 44 sacks between them. Two different types of players too. Let's go Vic, get the most out of these boys.

They both are high upside type signings.  I am more optimistic about the Ojulari signing.  I think he's a solid addition.

You can say that again.
