The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

If we are talking about mt. Rushmore of all eagles history, i love graham but he’s not on it for me. I’d go Reggie, dawk, bednarik and still deciding between Kelce, lane, cox, Foles and hurts. If we are talking since 2000 i think more of a case for Graham. Id probably go dawk, Kelce, lane and 4th down to Foles, cox, hurts, BG.

That said by the time Jalen Carter is done if he keeps playing at this level and he likely is on that mt. Rushmore.

Not having Van Buren on that list seems a bit crazy, to be honest. When the dude retired, he was the NFL all time leading rusher. He was a stratosphere player in the league.

Tbh slipped my mind. definitely in the discussion with the others i mentioned in the 4th spot but i probably still wouldnt have him as my fourth

The best way to do an Eagles Mount Rushmore is to break it up into three "wings." The old timers, the golden era, and the modern era. There are just FAR too many great players going back well over 50 years to narrow it down to just four.

Old Timers - Chuck Bednarik, Steve van Buren, Harold Carmichael, Tommy McDonald

Golden Era - Reggie White, Randall Cunningham, Donovan McNabb, Brian Dawkins (Eric Allen, Brian Westrbook)

Modern Era - Nick Foles, Brandon Graham, Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson (Jason Peters, LeSean McCoy)

That's cheating a bit imo.  I'd say pre-Super Bowl era and Super Bowl era would be a more natural split

True, but it was hard enough cutting down the list to 12 along with 4 honorable mentions. Considering the franchise has been in existence for almost 100 years it's insanely tough.

Just did a three Rounder

32 - Donovan Ezeiruaka, Edge Boston College

64 - Mason Taylor, TE LSU

94 - Deone Walker, DT Kentucky

Not praise him? You've been insulting him for awhile now for no reason but to troll. Even claimed you were going to boo him at the parade (though everyone knew you were too much of a coward for that)

Please don’t quote that person, if that’s what he is.

The best OL who ever played for the Eagles was Jason Peters. No one, not Kelce, not Mailata, not even Andrews in his short stint, was as good as Peters. To me Mt Rushmore is Peters and Reggie and then you wait a while.

In your opinion.

I would agree that in his prime he was the best. However, based on longjevity and how Kelce ended his career and where Lane is at his age I would rate them both higher. Peters declined majorly at the end of his time here and I will forever hold that selfish BS stunt he pulled over the G/T $ thing against him. Kelce and Lane were also both home grown talents who played/have played their entire careers with the Eagles.

I feel like the reason you stated (end of his tenure) is a reason most wouldn’t consider him.

Awesome that they gave that to you. Did yours have pieces of it that were Lombardi trophy shaped? I ask cause mine didn’t but the SB LII did.

I haven't opened it yet, but it doesn't look like it does from the outside. My LII doesn't either.

Yeah, Kylie is looking rough these days.  She's looking like a 59 year old vertically challenged man!

BG FOREVER. You did the right thing Brandon.  Go out on Top.  Would love to have you back for our Repeat but you gave everything to the City, Team and Fans.   Much love and Thank You for doing everything to come back for that Super Bowl Butt Whoopin.   You will Forever Be 2x Super Bowl Champion Brandon Graham.

Lane has to be in the discussion.

Willingly. To use a baseball metaphor though, Lane was a catcher; Peters was a pitcher.

If you don’t want to consider the best lineman who ever played for the Eagles, it’s your loss. Perhaps I’m looking at it wrong. I’m looking at the best who ever played here but going on Mt Rushmore is something other than that.

So my sister in law knew I wanted a DeJean jersey. Not sure what the F this is. God bless her!

I never said i didn’t consider him the best OL in terms of performance. I said most would view it that way.

i think a lot would say peters was better player in his peak and height than lane at what’s considered a tougher assignment. However lane also is on pace to play 15 years with the eagles (contract is up then), have most games played as an eagle (stays healthy) and won two super bowls and a major player for us in those two (unfortunately peters was out for SB LII). I think those last things matter for mt. Rushmore to most people

Yeah, it would be like Mike Schmidt not being on the Phillies Mt. Rushmore.

I’m sure you’re right. I can’t argue with it. It’s just my very personal view.

Disagree. Mike Schmidt is definitively the best player in Phillies history and best 3b in mlb history (in the convo for top 2 at minimum). Van buren is not the best eagle in team history.
