I seriously have no clue what this franchise is doing. Luck into a good QB on a rookie deal and then screw it all up. This must be what other NBA fans feel when watching the Sixers build a roster.

The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

Did he try to roll forward, or was he just being pushed around by the pile?   From what I saw, he did nothing at all but just laid there like a piece of dead meat and got rolled over into the end zone.   The Eagles' OL gets lower than any other OL on that play, which is why they are so successful.  They literally root the other team out of the trenches.

I thought the objective was to heighten the lowest point that the O line could achieve because it would start at the top of his body. Seemed dumb then and seemed dumber when he got hurt.

The way to stop it other than not allow 3rd and 4th and shorts by playing good defense on downs 1 and 2, is to shoot gaps or get a good push.  Big guys push little guys around and all that.  All of which I know you know, but somehow teams would rather try gimmicks and dirty head shots on QB1.

The latter is perhaps one legitimate reason to ban it, except it focuses on the wrong thing.  They might hurt the QB doing it by launching at his head, so THAT is what you outlaw not the play itself.

Ok taking a flier on an OT, but passing on positions the draft is strong at for an OT in a weak class would be bad process IMO. But depends on who is on the board of course.

I wonder if it is to have Stoutland meet with him in person since they couldn't get to the Senior Bowl.

I've timed this no less than 10 times and I'm getting 4.53-4.59. But sure, that's 4.37.

Yes, the Josh Harris effect.  It's a disaster and heartbreaking for the Sixers,  but just charming and delightful to see it impact WA so quickly.  I think I have a crush on him now.

Gotta hold the line.   They'll fold as golf season really swings into full gear.

Why would it lower the lowest point for the OL?   They could just hit his body and then push it forward sideways... which they sort of did.  He ended up about a yard or so into the end zone by the end of the play.

And he's got tens of millions of reasons to want to stay now.

Would've preferred him to Avery, but ultimately it probably doesn't matter much.

I didn't say it made sense.  But in theory if he were an immovable object (he clearly wasn't), then the lowest point would start at the top of his prone, useless body.

QB with a fast 40 is meh to me. Can he throw and read defenses?

Being 43, my first real seasons of being an Eagles fan were 1990/91. My grandfather and dad were Eagles fans so I was destined to be an Eagles fan, but watching Randall Cunningham in 1990 is what got me hooked. Unfortunately, as exciting and as good as he was, I watched the downside of Randall's Eagles career no thanks to Bryce Paup and The Meadowlands. Similarly, I only got to watch 2-3 seasons of Reggie White and my biggest memory of Reggie was God telling him to go to Green Bay.

Randall made me a fan. My first taste of winning is in large part due to Donovan McNabb. Brian Dawkins was the heart and soul of the team. The bridge between modern generations of Eagles teams and the glue to the OL was Jason Kelce.

My personal Eagles Mt. Rushmore-

Randall Cunningham, Donovan McNabb, Brian Dawkins, Jason Kelce

I am 49, and I really became an Eagles fan in 1991. I grew up in the middle of Giants country, in a family that could care less about football, in a town where basketball mattered more than football.

I started to follow the Eagles loosely because of a video game called Tecmo Super Bowl. I was getting my ass kicked every time I played until I used the Eagles and the human cheat code with Randall (aka QB Eagles), Barnett, and Willams. But, man, Jerome Brown was amazing in that game. I then really started to follow the Eagles. He was by far my favorite player to watch. All I wanted to do was see him in person. He, unfortunately, died a few months later, and ever since then, I have been a complete diehard fan. That is while all these Giant fans surrounded me, the front-running Dallas (And Bulls/Yankee/Penguins) fans, and every other person who would change their team to the one that was winning at that time. Losers.

So, any Mt Rushmore, in my opinion, needs a Jerome Brown, even that MT Rushmore is for those players who were amazing for a short period of time.

I'll give them credit for trying, but with no leverage I'm not sure how he was going to occupy any space for any amount of time - it might have been more effective if laid down like a log, can't get lower than that unless he starts digging a hole.

That's what I thought he was trying. To be a log.

Wentz may end up in Cleveland…what a sad ending to a strange career

Sure.  If he had any anchoring power... which he gave up by aligning sideways. .  Hilarious effort.   I knew when I saw him lined up that way that they were going to get in easy on that Tush Push.

If there ever was a candidate for a position change, Milroe is that guy. Good college QB, but I don't think he stands a chance at QB in the NFL.

I'd say give him a loaded roster and run the ball, but he threw 5TDs and 10INTs vs the SEC last season - doesn't seem like he has the ability to submit to the scheme...

Lanes contract has been loaded with void years that has been a dead cap sword of Damocles over the Eagles for at least 5 years now, a few years ago a career ending injury for him would have seen a dead cap hit bigger than Wentz.

If a career ending injury should occur, my suspicion is that Howie and Jeff will have paid for an insurance policy that pays off the sword and eliminates the Dead Cap hit.

Truly.  Was it hubris as some think, the knee injury, or he just didn't have it to maintain it?

A few of the beats think they are smart in saying that Fred Johnson's loss is underrated.  We know. Obviously the team needs a backup LT.
