Perhaps, but what happens if either Lane or Mailata misses time? People in here have been entirely too tolerant of Fred Johnson’s performances, which went from pretty OK to pretty bad in a steady progression. Lane is now - what? - 35 and who’s behind him? Having lousy tackles sank KC in two SBs. There’s a lesson there. Draft a tackle no later than second round. There are a number of good ones.

Which ones do you like?

I love this RB for about 30 yards when he looks as fast as Barkley, or acceleration like Westbrook. After that, Im not sure he can beat Rich Eisen in a foot race. wtf? How the hell does he get so slow?

Now this guy has speed all day. But man does he look tiny.

Yes, that too.  I really don't know.

He runs like an ice skater. Has to learn to pick his legs up and get more forward in his upper body. I think maybe Cardale Jones runs similarly.

The trade for Dillon probably moved that back to late Day 3 or maybe even UDFA.

A UDFA RB I like is Lan Larison from UC Davis

Possibly. Day 3 day they tend to take the best player available.

Not the same speed, but reminds me a lot of Dri Archer.

Fred gone. Curious to see what he got. They're letting everyone go man. Add backup OT to the list of growing needs.

Um, of the Eagles OL, only Keegan and Jurgens have not played T. In fact, the stance issue with Green is partly because he never changed his stance to G from T.  Not sure I agree that there is a "list of growing needs”.  In contrast, I believe there is a number of positions that could see an upgrade versus glaring holes.  The exception is C, where only Toth has experience at C. (Well, who knows their intent as to Driscoll).  Let’s not pretend that Fred was good.  He was serviceable.

Truly.  Was it hubris as some think, the knee injury, or he just didn't have it to maintain it?

I think he had all the physical tools he needed.  Any problems he developed were upstairs so to speak…

yeah he has the look of a UDFA punt PR/KR

I don't know.  Without Jimmy Cliff there probably isn't a Bob Marley. Also, The Harder they Come is a great movie with one of the greatest soundtracks of all-time.

I would argue that without Peter Tosh, there isn’t a Bob Marley. Although one could argue that Bunny Wailer was more significant to the success of both than he is credited with.  Rumor is that Legalize It was written in response to Bunny serving a prison sentence for ganja.

We can go down rabbit holes.  Shall we discuss Zydeco next. (Only regional music that is more danceable than Reggae.)

Or, how, lucky is Post Malone?  Recording an album of duets that include two damn good songs with Luke Combs, a real good song with Chris Stapleton, a damn good song with Brad Paisley, the best new Bocephus song in decades, and he got to sing with Tug’s "kid” and my aspirational hero Dolly.  (Yeah, she’s a one name person because she is such a great person.  My heart aches for her losing Carl Dean.)

A few of the beats think they are smart in saying that Fred Johnson's loss is underrated.  We know. Obviously the team needs a backup LT.

Jedrick Wills.......come on down. You're the next applicant to the Stoutland University.

Thoughts on Joshua Farmer the DT from FSU?  Daniel Jeremiah has him 43rd on his board and haven't heard a peep in here

He looks ok, same tier as Darius Alexander. Maybe he can be a trade up option in round 2, similar to what we did last year with Coop.

Wills seems like the exact fit they are looking for

Kind of odd that Mailata conceivably has a bunch of years left, and Lane plans to play 3 more and theyve sniffed around 1st round OTs a lot. Feels 1-2 years early.

The way it makes more sense is that whoever the draft will begin at RG and slide out out to RT in 2-3 years when Lane is done.

With 30 visits a bunch of OL likely. Maybe they are bunching those now

If that is the only choice, then he would be too rich for the Eagles.  The attraction for Walker is the chance for (A) a Dawg reunion, and (B) chasing a ring. Then he gets his pay day two years later.

Walker doesn’t have any say in the trade, whether he’d be a good soldier w/o a contract if traded here… we’ll say yes. So, would you trade 32 for 2yrs and a comp (also note that as a #1 pick, who’s played reasonably well his club option won’t be cheap)? Is 32 even realistic compensation for JAX given the bonus they are eating?

I actually think he's more interior, possibly even C. A lot of the guys we've sniffed around I think is more G/C

there were a lot of reports of formal meetings with OTs during the all star bowl weeks and combine as well. Seems like we are hearing about OL more than any other position, by far.

He may settle in at guard with 32'' arms but he played a few seasons at RT which is convenient since Lane is obviously on the right side as well. Not like projecting a LT to switch hands and play on the opposite side.

I was living in Dallas when Larry Allen was a Cowboy.  Andrews seemed like the second coming of Allen.

Yup, good comparison.

Fair point. Would not shock if went OL but I suspect they’ll have a few DL ranked higher. Have to be prepared for how board falls. Also I think they’ll could trade back and/or up in 2nd so those guys might fit there too

He gets to full speed quickly, but full speed is probably around 4.55-4.60 (forty). Looks like he runs kind of upright. I doubt he ever breaks 21mph. I really don't see a Barkley resemblance  in speed.
