I do like Ezeiruaku very much and would be fine there with him at 32. I do question if Vic wants a longer style player though. 6-2 but at least good arm length at 34". I just wonder if Vic wants that 6'4" plus type of edge, just a gut feeling.

Big game for the Sixers tonight if they want a chance at catching New Orleans.  Get that L and they will only be 3.5 games ahead with 10 to go.

I could see New Orleans trying to trade up to #32 to get in front of the crappy teams at the top of Round 2 for a QB.  #9 overall would be too high to draft Jaxson Dart, but if he's on the board at #32 and the Saints wanted to leapfrog CLE or NYG (whichever didn't take one in Round 1) and get a 5th year option on a QB, would you trade?

Saints get #32 and #165

Eagles get #40 and #93

I think I'd give the nod to Nitschke over Baun, though Baun does have the balder head.

I think a guy with a lower center of gravity and long-arms is a nice combination - I guess the trade off is good/max weight but 247lbs isn't bad.

5th year option is only for the first half of 1st round, NO?

I grant you 14

Dan Fouts wore 14. He’s a Hall of Famer.

40 and 93  isn’t enough. 32, 165 and 168 for 40 and 93 and 112 would be closer to fair.

QB numbers yet to be worn by a modern superstar:

Define "modern".  Super Bowl era?  21st century?   What's the line?

Anyone just feel like talking about the Super Bowl some more?

Yknow what’s weird. When we won seven years ago I probably watched the game in its entirety about a dozen times and the final nine minutes another twenty times in the first six weeks after the game ended. This time I’ve watched it only once in full, and watched parts (second/third quarter stuff) only about three times. It feels wrong.

LIX lacks the drama of LII.  What you describe is not a surprise.

I watched it about half a dozen times afterwards... and another dozen snippets, videos about various players and aspects.  It was a masterpiece in defensive domination... and on the biggest stage.

Said by a really knowledgeable fan who appreciates both the details and the big picture.

Not to say Franklin isn’t both of those things, but …

Just for grins

I know they may not end up doing so, but keeping Goedert would be huge for me when it comes to the draft. Right now TE isn't a glaring need. It's a need, but not a necessity. They could come out of the draft with no TE at all or at the very least no top TE prospect and be ok. Ideally, I want to come out of this draft with an Edge(first two rounds), DT(first two rounds), Safety, LB, CB, OL. If you open up TE as a glaring need by trading Goedert, suddenly that's a position you have to take very early day 3 and more likely on day 2 or even the first round if a stud falls to you at 32. With the need to address the defense, this would take away from the draft for me. Creating a need you have to fill, taking away from what you could've used the pick for on other positions.

Even if Goedert stays I'd still like to come out of the draft with a TE, but now I'd feel perfectly fine passing on one the first 3 rounds to beef the lines back up again. If Goedert goes, they probably don't have that luxury.

TV era mostly. Guys pre-1970’s were not exposed enough to get their jersey number engrained in the common fan brain. Like I’ve only ever seen the 1 Ice Bowl highlight of Starr when I wasn’t outright looking for Starr highlights. But I randomly run into Staubach and Bradshaw and Fouts and even some Unitas highlights fairly frequently

Thanks. I remember when Joe Gibbs was hired by Washington, I expected Air Coryell. Couldn’t have been more wrong.

So no Daryle Lamonica for #3?  Or Norm Van Brocklin for #11?  He was a stud in LA, and brought some good stuff to Philly.  But, yeah... too early for 'modern'.

#6 seems like a number to give to a kicker, because it certainly hasn't been good for Qbs across history.

Ed Kracz has his 2nd mock out. This is his proposal for pick 32. I've read this 10 times and still don't see how this benefits the Eagles.

32, 96, 161, 164 and a 2025 5th for pick 40 and 71.

The draft value chart has the Eagles 2025 draft picks equaling 759 + whatever a 2026 5th is for the Saints picks that equal 735

Eagles send this pick and the first two of their four fifth-round picks, No. 161 and 164 overall to New Orleans - (the Saints don’t have a fifth-round pick) – and a fifth-round pick next year. Philly receives New Orleans’ second-round pick (No. 40 overall). The teams swap third-round picks, with the Eagles getting the 71st overall pick; the Saints get the Eagles’ No. 96 pick.

I really think the old pick value charts undervalue the fifth year option with a first.

Apparently Dave Gettleman basically built the Eagles team in New York.  Daniel Jones is the only reason they haven't had our level of success.

You wonder if the value chart will ever be updated. Seems that 5th year is getting to be more and more important with contracts going the way they are.
