I'm super happy overall.

Solid roster with at least a dozen plus starters.  Plenty of draft capital.  A very competent front office with a commitment to long-term competitiveness.

We've lost a few key players on defense.  But look at the chart below showing how much better we were than the rest of the league after the bye last season.  We can be objectively worse in 2025 and still be better than everyone else.  Can't wait to see what they do at the draft.

3 round mock.

Scourton

TJ Sanders (Norman-Lott was still on the board)

RJ Harvey (Jaylin Noel and Anthony Belton were on the board as well as a couple other RBs.)

Interesting mock draft between Mina Kimes and Field Yates; Mina sets the board and asks Yates to pick between two prospects on what he would do at each team's selection.  They landed on a pick for the Eagles at #32 who I haven't seen discussed in here very much:

Theyre talking about a surgery for Jihad Campbell dropping him to late round 1 and some teams saying no way you take him in round 1.

What is that surgery?

weird that he would be downgraded so significantly. I guess thats the way too talented guy who could fall to the eagles this year.

Bills' Sean McDermott on tush push ban proposal: "Even though there's not significant data out there to this point, my biggest concern is the health and safety of the players, first and foremost.”

Wut?

The interview with McDermott is mind numbing.

At least the reporters managed to make him look like a complete idiot.

If they draft a DT and Edge in the first two rounds the D will be loaded yet again. And I'll assume they find a safety at some point.

Weak sauce.

I actually do want them to ban it now (and leave the rest of the pushing so the whole thing is so obviously about our success).  Just so we can power over them on QB1 sneaks anyway.  @Iggles_Phan (I think and there may be others here as well) proposed just lining up all the beef (Dillon, Saquon and Jalen) and just pushing forward shoulder to shoulder (and protecting Jalen's flanks).  I will laugh every time we do it.  And you KNOW Nick will be smiling that ish eating grin to annoy the league.

For the Jackson Hawes lovers

Jackson Hawes has incredibly poor career production totals, having never been above 200 yards in a season at the FCS or FBS level. He has terrible hands meaning he is not a reliable target. Hawes has an obscenely high career drop rate of 12.1% and is poor at winning the ball in tight spaces, with a career contested catch rate of 25.0%. He hasn’t won a single contested target in the past two years. Hawes is a true in-line blocker who showcases excellent strength at the point of attack with the ability to move defensive linemen and create space for the running game.

I know Howie will always talk up all the players, but the way they talked about Green, I really hope they can make something of him. Would be a huge boon for the team.

Hate that I'm saying this, but credit to ESP to pushing back about the data. So he's concerned about the long term results of putting your body in a certain position, based on data that they don't have yet. The entire sport of football puts your body in positions that are going to have long lasting effects. This is a bunch of nonsense.

Also, Sean, you're 51. Flat brim is not for you.

Expected better from Bills. They've attempted the play a lot

If the Eagles were 7-10 this season, the tush push debate probably wouldn’t be happening.

Really still a very long shot, but Pelicans won tonight so only a 2 game separation between them and the 6ers for 4th in the lottery. 6ers currently losing by a bunch to Toronto in the 4th quarter.

Long shot but not impossible.  NO's actually been winning some games here and there.  If the sixers dig deep and fully commit, it's could happen.

I wonder if his players will ask him -- if the play is so unsafe, why did you make us run it so many times?

His stance is laughable. Just man up and say you want it banned because you're embarrassed the Chiefs stopped you but couldn't stop the Eagles.

If you haven't seen the 'announcement', when we do the upcoming upgrade, you won't be able to log in using your username anymore. You'll have to use the email address that you used to register.

I'm hoping that the upgrade will resolve some of the issues we're experiencing with lag time and embedding.

So make sure that you know which email address that you used.

Way to bury the lead…

Colts I believe have some interest in Goedert.  Any chance they do 134 and Goedert for pick 80?  Goedert goes back to Steichen where he had some of his best years

Basically getting back much of the draft capital from the Dotson trade.

So Goedert + 79 + 134 -> Dotson + 80 + 165
