It was pretty funny when Jeffery Lurie, born in 1951, today said he remembered when the "forward pass” was the hot topic controversy of the NFL, which was in 1933.

He's a billionaire... so he likely bought one of those fancy time machine DeLoreans.

I thought I heard him say he remembers reading about it.

Flag Football. And even that doesn't totally eliminate the risk of injury.

MMA might be easy to get into. There are rules, but not a lot and what's there is easy to understand. Fights are easy to watch, they aren't too long, they are exciting and feature different styles. They’d probably even fight outside.

If anyone’s interested.

I’m not sure reading about something 35-40 years after the fact, now almost 100 years later, changes the context all that much.

I've thought about full games, but I want to research a little and see if other non-NFL channels are doing that. The NFL allows clips (they earn revenue from it), but I don't know if they'd allow full games or not.

I've actually thought about breaking out my collection of old games to upload, but I'm afraid the NFL would strike them and we'd lose the channel.

I got a buddy who puts full games on YouTube.

Thanks to @nfl_jersey_num, we have some Eagles jersey number news! 👀

Hate to break it to RTK, but the 2024 Eagles placing on the all-time list in 25-30 years might suffer because the QB won’t be viewed as an all-timer at the position

A few interesting changes.  You can designate 2 for return at 53 cutdown and if you make postseason the 8 returns becomes 10

I remember people were freaking because they thought Eagles wasted slots on Bradberry and maybe Albert O.  Never became an issue

So, does that mean the 53 cutdown is really 55 now?

And with the 8 going to 10 does that mean more than 2 elevations per game are possible? Or are DFRs different from elevations?

Ok emoji lesson for y'all.

🍑(peach) = ass

🍆 (eggplant) = dick

🍈(melon) or 🍒 (cherries) = boobs

🍍(pineapple) = swingers/polyamorous, upside down usually but in emoji can't do that

🧢 (cap) = lie (usually said as no cap, like no lie told)

Also a lot of young people think the regular thumbs up and basic smile both are sarcastic and an insult. 👍 :-) So use it often with them!

I though a peach was a shaved ****(cat).

I also feel like i am still learning what Fangio really wants from his players, in terms of role and scheme. So i discount the data from the first two seasons a bit

Agreed 100%.

Kind of like assessing the 10th grade GPA, 11th grade GPA, and 12th grade GPA.

We have never had a light box DC before.  It’s a new ride for all of us.

I’d argue that at 10-0 it was over…but at 7:03 in the 2nd, DeJawn did his thing and the game was over at 17-0.  Teams throw when they’re behind that big.  Really hard to point to some of these games as propping up the run D.  In the playoffs only the Rams game maybe you can point to.  Every other game was a blowout and over by half time at the latest.

Why were they blowouts?

I’m sure someone brought up Chris Jones getting hurt on it in the Super Bowl and the response to that is don’t line up horizontal to the line of scrimmage with zero leverage where an offensive lineman can bury you.

basically peach is for tush and hand for push

Thank you.  That makes perfect sense.  If I can add it to my signature I will do it.

We children of the fifties understand this completely.

WOOHOO 10,000 views on YouTube! Still only a small drop in the bucket of what's needed to get monetized, though. We only have 6 eligible hours of viewing, out of 4,000 needed and 95 subscribers out of 1,000 needed.

What is the channel named?

Sure, but I guess that's a matter of whether or not they feel as if there is a major difference between the round 6/7 guys and the top end UDFAs. They could go any way really. But historically Howie makes a fair number of moves and historically we seem to cast a pretty wide set of UDFAs. So IMO some trade ups seem most likely to me.

The way it has always been described to me is that each team does its best to lock up its UDFAs prior to the Draft and uses its 6th Round and 7th Round picks to select the players who aren’t willing to be undrafted.

Yea, it's getting banned

But it looks like the open field pushes are going to be penalized as well.
