The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

Maxey officially ruled out for the rest of the year.

How many tanks does Russia really have?

I don't think the Eagles were interested in Milton once the Pickett trade went down. The interest was probably from many weeks ago.

Odds we draft a QB in this years draft?

Also, heading to Vegas on Sunday.  1st time in about 20 years.  Any must sees that aren't names The Sphere, Blue Man Group, Cirque Du Solei, or Wax Museum?

Here are 5 Things You Should Know About Derrick Harmon

Lead All DTs In Pressures

Harmon only had 5 sacks, outside the top 10 for DTs in this class. But Eagles fans know well that getting the QB down is not the only way DTs can impact the game, and what Harmon did do was lead the draft class in pressures, and he did so by a wide margin.

Harmon had 55 pressures. 2nd place for DTs in this draft had 44. Harmon also leads the draft class with 43 Hurries, 9 more than the guy in 2nd place. His Pass Rush Win Rate of 17.6% is 3rd in the draft class.

You can judge players by how they perform when the lights shine the brightest. You could argue the 2 biggest games Oregon played last year were the 2 games vs Ohio State (the eventual Champions). His team won 1 of them, and kind of got embarrassed in the other one. But how did he fare in those games?

Between both games, Harmon totaled 6 pressures, 5 QB Hits, 4 stops, and 1 forced fumble. By PFF’s grading system, the first game was his best game of the season, and the playoff game was his 3rd best game.

Yeah, those teams...along with the '72 Dolphins...are always the ones regarded as the best.  Certainly different eras of football and the game is much different these days.  It may be more fair to say the 2024 Eagles were one of the best of the "modern era"?  As in, maybe in this century?

Certainly stepped up in the SB.  And to think, two dropped passes (that Barkley and Smith likely make 99 out of 100 times) away from two more wins.  One blow-out loss without their top 2 WRs in horrible post-hurricane weather (ridiculously hot and humid).  So they are definitely right up there with the best teams in the "modern era."

The thing with calls on pushing/pulling will vary per officiating group.  Last nights Premier League game (Liverpool vs Everton) is a great example.  The ref and video assistant deemed a challenge ok and the initial punishment as appropriate. The refereeing body overnight said they were wrong and it was a sending off offence.

The NFL has so many challenges with officiating consistency that I worry that allowing interpretation about pushing/pulling will only make the perception worse.  Todays rule is very simple to manage; adding in interpretations of what is a pull or push. Yikes.

That was a red card every time.  The ref and video assistant got it wrong. (Daughter is a huge Liverpool fan, so I try to keep up with them so I can discuss with her.)

I was in Birmingham for a month on business that somewhat overlapped my daughter studying in London one summer.  We did a couple weekend trips, including going to Liverpool for the Beatles tour and a trip to Anfield.  The cabbies we used were fantastic and great tour guides on their own.  Maybe the best experience I have ever had with cabbies. Anyway, during the Anfield tour, the guide asked if there were any other football club fans present.  Obviously a few Everton fans, an Arsenal fan and a Man UTD fan.  My daughter is shaking her head as the guide points to me and I said my daughter is a huge Liverpool fan but I follow the Philadelphia Eagles.  (My daughter groaned but for the rest of the tour, I had others on the tour asking me about American football.)

I think Howie feels out every opportunity.  I suspect he takes all calls just to hear what the opportunity might be.  Frankly, I am more surprised when the Eagles don’t "express interest”.

Nearly an impossible task to compare teams whether its the same era or not.   Can someone definitely even prove that the Eagles were a better team in 2024 than the Bills in 2024?   I would also argue that the Bills in 1991 were a better team than the Giants in that same year, BUT... on that particular day, the Giants won and the Bills lost.  So, the Bills were not better, even though 'on paper' they absolutely were.  "Wide right".

Agreed!  Even the Giants beating undefeated NE in the SB....what is with the Giants and not being the best team but winning?

0%. McKee has two years as does DTR.  Really don’t see a Day 3 QB that won’t be overvalued this year.

This is a BPA draft where the positions favored are OLB/Edge, DT, TE, IOL, maybe RB, maybe S, maybe CB.  QB may be the weakest position in this draft.

Pick 64 is up.  Both Kevin Winston Jr. and Mason Taylor are top 2 on your big board.  Which one would you pick (assuming we're not trading back and didn't take S or TE in round 1)

Various things, how to and/or product review type videos, firearms, Eagles, old TV commercials. Anything that I thought would make money (some did, some didn't).

Back around late 2019, YouTube decided that they didn't like something, they never told me what and I had no copyright strikes but out of the blue, they decided to delete my channel. Poof, just gone with no explanation. I appealed but didn't think it'd ever work out in my favor. Then about 6 months later, poof, it was back. Again, with no explanation.

After it was reinstated, my revenue never recovered and went from something around $2800 a month, down to under $100. I figured that someone behind the scenes didn't like some of my firearms videos and 'shadow banned' me from being recommended so that severely limited any potential revenue I could earn. I don't know that, but it's just what I suspect.

Sheesh!  I've often pondered ideas for side hustles to make some extra cash and having a YouTube channel was one of my thoughts.  I just don't know that, right now, I have the time to dedicate to it.  Hell, I used to write a blog about the Eagles and worked at it for a few years and got to the point I was making a couple hundred per month and was also getting media access to training camp and the NFL draft. Unfortunately, my available time took a big hit and killed that.

Pretty low.  The Eagles acquired DTR to fill the QB room with Hurts and McKee

My wife and I have a trip planned out where we fly into Vegas and go to Zion, Bryce, Petrified Forest, stand on a corner in Winslow and then head west to Silver City and Lake Tahoe (my Bonanza side trip).

Seriously, though, if you have transportation get out to Red Rock, the Mojave preserve is just south of it and you are spitting distance to the Grand Canyon.

Awesome stuff.  Did an RV family trip with the kids and we loved it.  So much to see and do.

Taylor, I think that Winston fits better in a scheme where his coverage responsibilities are closer to the LoS rather than a deep defender.

Starting to see like McKee will be traded.  This comes off the report that the Eagles were in on trying to trade for Joe Milton.

Taylor.

We have young safeties, but no young TE.

I find it weird how the two best leagues in the world (NFL and Premier League) have some of the worst refereeing in all sports.

That tackle was brutal and could have injured Mac Allister real bad.

Just did that trip two weeks ago. Flew into Vegas and went straight to Zion, then went to Byce, then to Page, AZ to do the Antelope slot Canyons, then to the Coral Sand Dunes then back to Zion, then to Valley of Fire and back to Vegas.

Lots of driving but with the scenic views (and speed) it goes by pretty fast enough and we were able to see a lot and hike a lot of trails.

If you don't have hotels booked yet, we stayed at Clear Sky Resorts which was about 30 or so mins from Bryce and was a cool experience. Just stayed at this place one night but you get to sleep in your own dome under the stars.

✨Little Dipper✨ The Little Dipper at Clear Sky Resorts Bryce Canyon is cozy, charming and romantic! Sleep under the stars with someone special. The Little Dipper sleeps 2 in a luxurious king
