How are guys rising or falling? They havent done anything, no workouts, interviews, no games etc...There was the Senior Bowl and the National Championship but since then not much that would cause a guy to rise or fall other than a player getting in trouble off the field

I don’t think guys really do rise and fall on teams boards. Maybe a little but not like we are from the draft media.

More mock drafts are coming out mainly, but also the people who write these sort of articles invent a bit of movement to create the impression they've got NFL Scouting contacts that are giving them inside info.

Here are the Right Guard AAVs from Spotrac.  That provides a fuller picture.  When you rank Right Guards in the NFL where does Becton rank?  Middle of the pack would be 15th or 16th. That would be  Glasgow or Zeitler on this list.

Yeah but a bunch of these guys are still on rookie contracts and others who are on older conracts though.....so if you think someone is middle of the pack in terms of play vs all guards, the contact they fetch on the market probably gets them I dunno #6-10 on the list there which is $10 - $16m. I think his deal lands in that range, probably upper end.

FWIW PFF have 5 Guards as better free agents than Becton, including Zeitler. Becton gets props for his run blocking which is recognised as top end, but his pass protection grades out considerably lower than his peers, which is something a lot of us have been saying this season.

There's no denying the pass protection this season has veered between godlike and concerning, some snaps Hurts can be stood back there all day untouched and others there's a free rusher loose in the backfield inside a second because one of the interior linemen took the wrong assignment or badly whiffed a block.

Don't think he stays. Just can't fit him in at this point. They probably tried already. He's getting a BOATLOAD. Projected for 5 yrs/$125M. Chiefs line is Creed Humphrey and and an aging Thuney after this.

Thank you Jawaan Taylor for taking up all that cap space.

I wouldn’t be surprised if their kid from BYU takes a step up in Yr 2 though. Liked him as a prospect last year.

I don’t think Becton will get that much. He’s a bit overrated here. He had a solid season but not great

Potential is sky high though. At times it really looked like we had more than two tackles and it opened up unusual blocks.

This guy any good? I remember reading months ago the QBs in this draft are 👎

He’ll go high based on his name alone lol.  Sounds like a character name for a football movie

cam ward has to compete in the combine now after those "if you don't draft me I'll remember comments".

This time last year many of us found out for the first time who Quinyon Mitchell was. He went from a prospect that performed excellently against a lower level of competition anecdotally (because who here watches Toledo?) to one that we could all see was unfazed by the best that the college ranks had to offer at the senior bowl.

In this current group, Wyatt Milum as an example had a great resume at offensive tackle. His arms are a bit short, so at the senior bowl he got some work at G. He’s a bit light and struggled mightily against the interior pass rush. The perception of his value has dropped - particularly for people like us who are gathering information or are relying on others to create a consensus.

I hope he goes to the Giants so I can call him Dart Fart

A lot of it is media trying to maintain interest, as this is one of the two biggest valleys in the nfl’s annual news cycle.

But there probably is a discovery phase for prospects.  Teams are obviously longitudinally scouting, but coaches are getting more involved now.

Combine that with the fact that more connected general nfl media types are now primarily digging into the draft..and I’m not surprised that there can be evolving opinions of players this time of year.

Fortunately, your first, second, third thoughts are bouncing around your brain and not in the offices of the Eagles.

I'd much rather the Sanders Circus go to NYG.

Per Deniz: Chiefs had 20 straight unsuccessful plays to end the 1st half! Based on their 45.3% success rate during the season, 20 straight unsuccessful plays in a game should happen once every 173,881 20-play sequences, or about once every 220 years.

Not really.  I get jerseys now more for their significance in retrospect.  My wife bought me a McCoy jersey almost immediately before he was traded.  I bought a Wentz jersey because I assumed at the time he’d be a long term franchise fixture.  Both were very quickly rendered obsolete.

I’m pretty sure Barkley will hold the Eagles rushing record longer than my remaining days, and I’m also pretty sure when I watch Super Bowl LIX 20 years from now, Sweat’s performance will still stand out.

I have the same 2 jerseys and never bought anymore. Thought about sending the wentz jersey out and get browns name put on it.

I thought the same as well that wentz would be our QB for awhile but it didn't work out

Damn, we saw something much more rare than Haley’s Comet!

PHLY had an interesting show where they discussed their most memorable moment form every game of the season. I don’t have time to go through it now, but I like the exercise. Will be interesting to see if anyone has any oddball memories out there.

Coaches are finally watching their tape and their opinions are different from the scouts.

Best team of the century.

I thought the Seahawks team that killed Denver was the all around best team.
