If I wasn't too paranoid about uploading full games, we could probably reach views and subscribers pretty quickly. But the NFL had destroyed several of my early channels 15 or so years ago because I would post NFL stuff, like when we'd sign a free agent or whatever. They seem to be allowing stuff now, but they claim the copyright and make the money. I just don't know how they'd react to a full game.

When youtube first bought NFL ticket, they claimed it would support content creators. I have no idea what they meant (regarding NFL film), but that could be why some things are allowed now.

That boneheaded play in the 2nd inning continues to loom large in this game.

Wish Schawrber got the cycle. He’s not going to get many better chances than that.

Saw a mock draft with Sanders dropping to the second round.  I couldn't see the Eagles passing on him at 32 with them being the QB factory that they are.

I think it would be more like a Lamar Jackson thing where some QB needy team trades up to get him and the 5th year option. No way we draft him. It would cost us a 1st round pick for a player we wouldn't play outside of injury situations and we'd never get the same draft capital return. He would literally have to beat Hurts for the starting gig and then we'd have to trade Hurts for more value than pick #32 for it to pay off.

When we drafted Hurts, it was in the bottom half of the 2nd round and the thought process was he could still become a gimmick player that could get a weekly snap count in situations. Sanders doesn't have a skill set to displace Hurts in situations. So there's zero chance we use an even higher draft pick to select him.

I think they would draft him with the belief they could develop him and flip him for a first down the line.

To flip a player, he needs to prove his worth with playing time. You're better off flipping a day 2 or day 3 pick for more draft capital than you invested than you are flipping a 1st round pick. But nobody will give you a 1st for a player they already passed on in their own draft if he never sees the field in his first 2 or 3 seasons. The Eagles could literally trade #32 straight across for a 1st round pick next year from a mediocre team. That would be a much safer gamble than drafting a  backup QB with a 1st rd pick in hope of flipping it for a (hopefully) better pick in a few years. Heck, they could probably trade #32 for a 2027 1st and 2nd rd pick if you figure a two year wait is worth it --- which is the minimum wait you would likely do with a QB flip project that works.

Phillies are good at disappointing.  It's their thing now.   They're going to lose the series to the Braves who had been playing horrible and get them rolling again, cause that's just how they do.

Watching a lot of mocks and looking at a lot of top 50 or top 100 lists over the last few days and I have a feeling this is going to be one of the craziest drafts in a long time. There are several players whose range of potential outcomes appear to be anywhere from about 15-40.

Medicals: Simmons, Morrison, Revel, Campbell

Character: Green, Pearce (?), Nolen (?), Burden (?)

Scheme Specific: Nick Something - safety from S.Carolina. RBs in general.

OL with no length, OL with length but no anchor, OL with both but slow.

DL with size but no production, DL with production but no size. DL with both but older or lower level of competition.

Weak QB class.

Sanders wouldn't beat out Tanner McKee right now.  He'd be 3rd string.

Maybe eventually Sanders will be really good but he's got alot to work on.

Floor, sack machine as he holds the ball, trusts his athleticism and doesn’t throw the ball away. Ceiling, a good game manager who can work with an excellent roster. Verdict, Tyrod Taylor - sticks around the league as a backup but is viewed as a disappointment due to his draft position/last name.

More likely... they draft him and then flip Hurts!  :flex:

There is something quite familiar at this time of the year and seeing comments like the Phillies continue to disappoint. etc.  Like a pair of comfortable being put on for the first time in ages

He might turn out to be good but anytime I watched Colorado it was when they played a good team like Oregon or BYU and he didn't look very good.

McLane: Southern Cal CB Jaylin Smith and Miami DE Tyler Baron are a couple draft prospects scheduled to visit with the #Eagles today for a top 30 visit, per NFL sources.

I think he'll be good if he lands in the right situation, and honestly the same goes for Ward.  I think that's the biggest factor in whether or not these guys go on to have good careers.  Does anyone truly believe Mahomes would be considered the goat if the Bears weren't dumb enough to pass on him?    I think Ward is more likely to have a less impressive career based on where he's projected to go. If Sanders ends up in NY or PIT, he'll be in a better position imo.

This is one of the guys that I like, I brought him up a while ago, could be a good fit. Looks like he already visited

I read that we met with him but it wasn’t a 30 visit.

Then we trade Jalen and Sanders can back up Tanner.

I get Baun being rated so highly but I'm surprised by Dean

Also it's hilarious how even in 2023 people would have laughed at this

Howie showed tremendous growth for paying Baun

We paid Nigel after SB 52 too. Who was the last great LB we had that we didn’t pay? I liked Kendricks a lot, but he’s a felon so we dodged a bullet there

Already delved right into it.   Word is that the Eagles coaches have done less attending workouts and pro days this year.  Wonder if that had an impact on all the OL visits.   The one position of need that I haven’t seen significantly linked to the Birds is back up C.  I wonder how many of those OTs were asked to snap the ball.  Mbow and Grant, for example.  If Jurgens is still recovering from back surgery, who is snapping in OTAs? Toth? Not much out there as UFAs, all of which should be available post draft.

I’m so glad they changed the formatting. It’s so much easier to navigate.
