Steen is entering his third year, about the time when Seumalo went from being awful to being decent.  Any chance we see a similar move by Steen?  He has, after all been learning to play guard.  When Dickerson got inserted in his rookie year compared to his third year are night and day different, and he had played IOL before.   It’s not like Becton was an All Pro last year.

I’m not sure I remember Isaac ever being ‘awful’…granted I can’t remember what i had for breakfast most days, but wasn’t he just hurt a lot, not bad?

The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

I don't either. I also don't think Steen is awful though. I think he's an ok starter, really good backup. With 4/5's of the line being so dang good they could get by with Steen or someone like him but I would certainly prefer a young stud in there via an early draft pick. Their top 30 visits would suggest they feel the same way.

He wasn't awful, just underrated. Even when he got very good he was still a little underrated.

Snorted some glue this morning and I'm 90% convinced we are trading down out of 32 for future picks.  I get the "there are a lot of teams looking to trade down in the first so there is value in moving up this year" mentality, but I can't shake the feeling Howie is going to trade 32 for a future 1st and a 2025 3rd, and then use 2026 picks to move back up in the 2nd.

Much of the success we had was built on having multiple firsts for a few years, and I can see him trying to recreate that.

And would you end up with a tweener? A player without a position?

Williams is one of the players profiled in the Enigmas YouTube.

I listended to them. I don't think they were necessarily calling him a tweener but questioned his ceiling and how good he will be in the NFL more or less. That is different, they can question how good they think he will be as we all do with players. It's just my opinion that he will be a good one, perennial pro bowler? I wouldn't go that far but I think he will be one of the better DE's out of this draft. He did play on an injured ankle this year so he proved his toughness. I think he's really just scratching the surface. He has that long strong frame and can set the edge which I feel Vic wants. I think he's easily gone by pick 20 however.

What kind of glue?  I'm done with Elmer's, it's weak sauce.  I'm onto this:

You're not getting a future 1st for 32. Put the glue back in the garage and make yourself a pot of coffee to freshen up. There's no one in this draft that would warrant such a bounty and I can't recall any team getting such compensation for where we pick. Look when we had traded back from pick 32 last time with Baltimore, we got a 2nd rounder for the following year and a 4th within the same year. That's about the best you can expect just for that pick especially in an overall weaker draft class.

True, but NOLA is in striking distance to make that trade.  Never underestimate their ability to give us future draft capital

Getting a 2026 1st back as part of the compensation is the only way I'd trade back... but I don't see that as the payout for #32.  The last time the Eagles did that, they moved back 20 spots and only got a 2nd rounder in return.

Good for UT for telling this kid and his Dad to kick rocks.

One of the things I like about Omar Norman-Lott is that he can provide depth and production in both the Milton Williams role and the Jordan Davis role.

ONL was essentially a DPR at UT, so kind of an unknown in regard to his ability against the run (although he’s smallish and likely won’t get much bigger at 23). As an Milton replacement, I definitely see that.

I’ll mimic your thought process but with Harmon, who’s over 310lbs, 34” arms and sheds blocks well. He seems like a balanced prospect that’s competent run and pass.

The PFF guys like Ezeiruaku a lot.

I wonder how far Mike Green will fall because of the accusations against him. I can't see him being on the Eagles board. Player-wise only he's like a perfect fit for the Eagles though.

I absolutely hate where college football is right now.

I like both players very much but see Harmon as the higher graded player. His length and size is much preferred. If he fell to 32 or if we even traded up some I'd be thrilled. But I am not sleeping on Lott. Very impressive player, borderline if he makes it to our pick in round 2. Just wish he had a little more height but arm length at 33 3/4 isn't bad.

I was able to convert the PDF of The Beast 2025 to having no PW protection. Don't worry, when you google The Beast, the site allows you to download the PDF and the site gives you the password on the website so anyone can access it. It's just removing an annoyance of having to enter the PW every time you want to access it. This is not me paying for a subscription, stealing it, and then passing it along for free. It's just me removing one annoying step to access the document, which they've allowed anyone to do.

If anyone wants a copy let me know.

What does it mean "moving on."?  Did they revoke his scholarship?  Sounds like NFL GM language.

How quickly we forget that he did not play his rookie year and his benching for Wis in 2017.  Didn’t start again until five games into 2018.  Steen, not playing much his rookie year but when he was in last year, he wasn’t as bad as Seumalo was at the time of his benching.  I am not saying he will turn the corner.  Just saying the Seumalo experience should not be ignored.

Who doesn't?  Maybe fans and alumni of the universities that can afford to spend $20 million to compete for a national championship.  This can't be sustainable from the fan perspective.  There needs to be a national salary cap of some sorts to maintain some semblance of sanity.
