Ty Robinson from Nebraska is an exciting mid-round target as 3T/4i type.

yep. one the first players that jumped out at me as a potential Jordan Davis replacement. Out of all the run stuffers in this class, this is the freakiest mover, and he is built like a rock. You hope he can develop some more rush ability. He looks the part.

Yeah, not crazy about the two we got last year either and I doubt they give up on them after 1 year. Bringing in Marshall probably means they feel like we're fine there now. But if Keenan Allen doesn't have a high cost and wants to jump on board for the year I certainly wouldn't mind.

Everything thats out there is trash at this point. a top 100 pick is whats needed. And I dont think itll happen.

A Time Machine that allows us to use 2024 picks!  I hope i don’t have to be on shrooms or glue for that lol.

Yes, he had injuries but before that, Stoutland rebuilt him. Take a look at his stance in 2017. Note the left foot back, well behind the right. It's a standard stance but Isaac couldn't turn to his right quickly enough.

Here he is two years later, in 2019. Note how much more square to the LOS he is. Stoutland basically changed him from an OG stance to a C stance but left him at guard.

So if Stout can fix Seumalo, do we believe he can’t fix Steen?  (Or Keegan and Kinnard for that matter?)

Interesting…I’m by no means an expert on the nitty gritty for OL.  However I always viewed Isaac as a ball of clay from the first time I saw him in an Eagles uniform.  Had some good moments, some bad…then rounded out over time as a plus player.  Nothing special, but a guy that you could count on.  He’s the type that in an OL like we are used to having is going to have teams knocking down his door after his contract is up.  Much like Vatai got that massive contract coming off the SB.  I’ve never viewed Steen as more than depth.

He's big and strong and he has developed patience over the years but he is slow. Very slow. Stoutland likes guys who can move. Pryor gives us some depth but I hate to think of him as a full-time starter.

So essentially, I can get by with this…but isn’t ideal?

Not sure he was there. There were no DT names jumping out at me but I could have overlooked it. Thats the spot I was really looking for a NT.

If you’re strictly playing the top-30, they haven’t given you much to work with at DT really. Shemar Turner, mm-kay.

TJ Sanders as well as Turner.  Tommy Lawlor has described Sanders as his favorite DT

I really hate that they used to picks on such trash at WR last year because not it feels so much less likely they take a decent one this year. And so, the depth we didnt have at WR last year before the draft was still depth we didnt have after the draft. Because those guys were trash. And it may continue this year, trying to give our draft picks a chance.

The round 4-5 and later guys in this draft arent very good. And I dont think the eagles are likely to take a WR in the top 3 rounds so I dont see it being upgraded.

Yeah, if he makes it past round 3... Lots of places still have him ranked low, but yet he has a lot of buzz.

For the exercise we were talking mid round guys. Yes, I expect TJ to go in the top-50. He’s in the same tier with ONL to me, maybe a bit less projection.

Not sure what you mean. Like from a footwork perspective?

They’re none of them quick or explosive. Or fast. And they’re mechanical. They’ll never be Zack Martin but they can speed themselves up. Working a speed bag increases hand speed and hand placement. Box jumps increase explosiveness. A tennis ball machine can improve balance and reaction. Video games can improve reaction time and recognition. It’s not just traditional drills and I’ll bet Stout has a dozen tricks better than any of these.

There’s no question but that Pryor is better now than when he left. I’ve already mentioned his improved patience. That comes from experience and improved reaction time. I may be shortchanging him now because of how he used to be. As for Keegan, Stout clearly didn’t think he was ready and playing him too soon may have ruined him. We’ll see. I confess too that my view of Steen may be prejudiced by my opinion of Becton, whom I thought to be a potential all pro. None of these three guys is as good as Becton IF Becton is healthy, but they’re all cheaper and Becton may have health problems we know nothing of.

That’s pretty much my opinion, yes. Of course we can’t have all 22 starters being ideal.

Rewatching the Rams divisional game and really dodged a huge bullet that thr ugly looking Hurts injury wasn't anything serious where he was dragged down in a way that made it look like he messed up his knee and then was extremely limited with his movement the rest of the game and it was in question how mobile he could even be if he played in the NFC Championship Game.

I've been playing around targeting positions or players.  The one below I wanted TE and T.J. Sanders.

image.thumb.png.c42a33171b035a0291ba4ccbab92b65b.png

Jalen Carter became the best defensive player of this century in Eagles history in the final two plays of that drive.  The only reason that didn't go down as the most heart breaking biggest late game choke in franchise history.

Rewatching the playoff run. I hope not resigning Burks doesn't come back to haunt the Eagles.

Steen was pick 65, the first pick of the 3rd round. The narrative that he's supposed to be a depth player is a weird one to me.

Wish I could get right.

F.

See you next time.

The only thing that makes sense about that is Dean is ahead of schedule and they know he's going to be 100%, or Trotter showed enough. Burks was fantastic and his contract with the Bengals was more than reasonable.

I can't decide which character in Draft Day is the worst. The strength coach, the intern, or the skinny assistant coach.
