The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

To be honest, if that was a picture from this years draft I would swear it’s AI.

I heard she unhinges her jaw and eats a full cooked ham whole like a snake.

I don't know if he has inside info, but Berman seems pretty confident Edge will be the Eagles top target in the first round. He said keep an eye out for Mykel Williams and also mentioned Pearce Jr. And if not doable, they will pursue DT... probably Nolen. Berman thinks they will trade up.

He also seemed pretty confident they won't draft a safety. He thinks OT is more likely than safety.(I agree, I mentioned watch out for Banks Jr in the draft).

He also said wanting to move Goedert is purely a cash move. Which would piss me off. If it was "Well, Goedert wants a new deal and we don't want to give him one, so we hard to part ways. Plus he's making more than we think he's worth" it would piss me off, but that would take sting away from it. But I'm sorry [In a nerd voice] "We can't afford to sign Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith, and Cam Jurgens unless we free up Goedert's cash" is Fing BS. And if it is the case, raise your budget. The dude is a damn good player.

BRUGLER: Source: Kentucky CB Maxwell Hairston has also accepted his invitation to the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay.

Hairston is a projected 1st round pick.

Goeddert's problem is that he's always hurt. Literally every year he misses time, and it feels like it's at least 3 games a year. He isn't worth more than he's getting paid based on his average availability

I'd go bonkers if we land Mykel.

Hes a guy who would land in a perfect situation here, where he isnt expected to be great right away. Just be part of a rotation. While he learns more technique. Kinda similar to the situation Hunt found himself in.

I think at 32, Ezieruaku or Scourton are the guy, unless other guys fall all the way there. Mykel Williams is one of those guys they might be shocked to still see there like when Nolan Smith fell to them.

I don't think he gets out of the 20's but I will hope, you never know.

Can't believe Colorado is retiring the jersey numbers of Sanders and Hunter 🤣🤣 WTF.

I can understand Hunter a little because he won a heisman. But they were at Colorado for 2 years and went 13-12. That's jersey retirement worthy?

The draft guys seem to agree on Scourton, at least the ones I’ve heard. Most have him s a 2nd round grade that I’ve heard. Think he can be a solid starter rotation guy, but doesn’t have that all pro upside.

NIL, Power 2 + the ACC stepchildren and transfer portal. It’s a mercenaries game at this point. At some point the lack of development will trickle to down to the NFL and the NFL will be even further watered down.

I can't wait!

Good news is the UFL exists now... maybe that will help to fill that gap in development.

when you look up Trey Hendrickson combine, here is the grade he got from one "Draft guy"

Prospect Grade

6.10

Good backup with the potential to develop into starter

Gone too soon

CouchKing’s assessment is accurate. His final point “$2.4 million should have been enough” is at the heart of the anger. The NCAA did a lousy job of writing the rules and Nico is capitalizing on their poor work. Capitalizing is at the heart of capitalism. However, there are lots of folks who think Nico is valuing himself more than he values the NCAA. He is being hated for taking care of himself.

Capitalism is also allowed to tell him his value is zero

I don’t think they are saying "he’s making more than we think he is worth”. They aren’t disputing his worth/value. They are saying that for other NFL teams, he is worth more than he is worth to this specific/current Eagles team. That was the same for Milton Williams and the same for Josh Sweat.

Regarding raising their Budget, they don’t control that, the NFL and the NFLPA control that.

Agreed 100%

A lot of rumors going around that Giants are showing interest in trading for Goedert... Any ideas on what that might look like?

Is it a Thibodeaux swap or we looking at moving up in certain rounds? Like Goedert and 134 for 99

From what I gather this is purely a "Jeff Lurie can't or won't put out the cash required to pay the young guys on the roster plus Goedert(and previously CJGJ)"

Was going to say something similar. It’s all just for entertainment purposes with very little actual value. They also like to throw around floor or ceiling based off of 40 times essentially which is absurd and more often than not wrong.

There is a salary cap. In the long run cash and cap converge. In the short run eagles have spent more cash than other teams because they pre-paid and borrowed future years cap money. There is a practical limit to constantly doing that that isn’t about being ‘cheap’ which Lurie clearly is not
