Yup wayne and Smith who have almost identical numbers have better numbers than julio and all 3 have almost the same number of pro bowls all pros, with smith and julio with 2 all pros each to waynes 1.

Smith is the only triple crown winner of the 3 and the only one to to record 1000 yards with two different teams and also return punts and kicks

All 3 are 1 time super bowl losers wayne the only one to win one

If I went in order of guys to get in id go Smith Wayne Julio.

I'd probably go Smith, Julio, and Wayne.

I think you can argue that Julio was better than Smith and Wayne, but neither Wayne or Smith had the huge falloff that Jones did. Jones was dominant and arguably the best WR for 9-10 seasons, and then he became a shell of himself for his final 4 seasons. Smith was consistent throughout his career and put up impressive numbers with Delhomme, Newton, and Flacco - he also played 3 more seasons than Jones. Wayne was great, and I don't want to take away from his achievements, but he played with Peyton for the majority of his career and then had Andrew Luck.

That’s giving Barnett credit…that was more of a sacrifice bunt.

Exactly. And yet he was considered "safe” during the draft, a "high floor kinda guy.”

He had a cluster of years in the middle of his career where he was great

Longevity is a part of it, but it’s far from the only component. No one who watched Julio and Mike Evans in their primes would put them on the same level. Not even close.

BTW, thank you guys for the input on the Nico situation. I now understand all the f'n memes floating around out there

Then you have a WR like Evans who has 11 consecutive years of 1k+ yds

It's annoying you can't edit posts

You can edit them with text and images. You just cant edit them adding a link.

Of course but it's still embarrassing.

Even if players are really great at a school they don't retire their numbers for a long time. This kinda sets a very low bar for future players. Any QB that comes in and plays better and/or gets Colorado to a better record will get their number retired as well? Maybe a statue?

The arrogance deniers make me giggle…i love the bait questions, ‘what’s the difference between confidence and arrogance’. To which the simple answer is:

Ward - confident

Sanders - arrogant and overly cocky

If Howie retires the Eagles better be calling me

That line of thinking is dangerous though. Maybe a certain era didn't have any worthy. I'm curious if they could ever recoup the true greatness that the HoF is supposed to be. 🤷‍♂️

Julio is a weird case…i’m not sure what to make of his resume. The fact that we are debating him means that hopefully there’s ZERO talk of AJ Green. Prime Julio was straight up dominant…unless he was up against Mills in the NFC WC.

You’re insinuating that Evan’s is past his prime…dude hasn’t slowed down since coming into the league. Evans is just a newer Fitz, under appreciated but will end up being a top 10 of all time when all is said and done. I don’t think he’s on Fitz’s level, given I think Fitz is a slam dunk top 3…but top 10 is a safe place to put Evans.

In Julio Jones career, he scored the second most TD's with the Eagles.

Weird stat.

I see Isaac TeSlaa in a lot of mocks around here. I know nothing about him, what's the deal there?

You should get on the internet more and google about him like the other draft experts.

Am I reading this wrong? He only had 3 TDs with us. Thats tied for 4th worst in his career. He had 7 seasons with more.

He scored the 3rd most against us.

Based on his height and complexion I'm guessing "big slot"?

I was talking about his overall career and from a team by team basis, not seasons.

He scored the most TD's in his career for the Falcons.

Second most is for the Eagles.

Third most is for the Bucs.

Fourth is for the Titans.

Just a weird observation since the Eagles was his most forgettable team he played for in his career.

Listening to today's podcast birds 24/7, Johnny Mac said one of his sources, the same one who gave him Jurgens when he was drafted. Said the Eagles really want to maintain the high level of play in the secondary and his source gave him the names of Barron and Starks. That's music to my ears. I love both players.

Ah, gotcha. Thanks for the clarification

Freak athlete. Played 3 years at Hillsdale College which is DII before transferring to Arkansas. Went to Senior Bowl and was torching a lot of the guys there. Then went to combine

6 foot 4 and 214 pounds

4.43 40 (1.51 split)

39.5 inch vert and 129 broad

6.85 3 cone which was 12th best overall at combine

4.05 shuttle which was 3rd best overall at combine

So he's big, fast, strong, and quick.

I keep coming back to the same thing in my mocks...

Wanting to trade up over Baltimore to get Starks.

I can't get off it.

You're welcome for creating a discussion lol

Though I'm serious that I don't think Julio should be in

Yes and what I'm saying is I'm simply not buying that keeping Dallas Goedert on the roster, merely one player, will prevent them from re-signing Carter, Nolan, Jurgens, Mitchell, DeJean, etc to extensions. Because all the local reporters seem to be saying that to do that Goedert needs to go and I simply do not buy that. It doesn't pass the smell test.

I think you need to get an ENT consult. According to OverTheCap Goedert currently ha $35.6 million in Cap costs over the next two years. If they trade him that number comes down to a maximum of $21.3 million, less if the trading team picks up some of his option money. $14 million is a terrible thing to waste.

On the path to the draft. They had a little segment called pound the table. Alfred Collins was Mark Ross's guy. Called him a junkyard dog. I wasn't real high on him but I'm gonna go watch more now. Definitely has the size and length Vic may covet. Charles Davis had Charles Grant, compared him to D'Brickashaw Ferguson type player which sounds pretty darn good. I wonder if he would slide into RG for us initially.

I guess that fool forgot we have Lewis Cine and are fine.
