Maybe, I don't know, make a decision instead of dragging it out 1 podcast at a time over the course of the entire office season? Again.

He could also try not being a giant attention hoor for the past decade so we can take his comments about being undecided in good faith.

Is Rodgers the last of that era?

Translation: "You better do what other people want you to do or you're begging for attention!"

He doesn't want to sign. He hasn't decided that he wants to play. It's not his obligation to force a decision just to appease others.

It's the arguments against him that are not in good faith. And never were. Dude can't breathe without someone viewing it in a bad light. Guy's just out there living his life and mouthbreathers are outraging over it. It's nuts.

Laughably ridiculous take given his track record my guy. He did this same exact thing with NY, but yeah sure this time he's totally serious about being undecided. He's an attention hoor just accept it.

There's no reason to simp for a guy who has alienated every fanbases he's played for, every person he's ever dated and his own damn family. lol

Mouth breathers all I'm sure!

He's a procrastinator. As one myself, I can relate. I take forever to decide on things. I mean, he gave the reason why on his show today. It was a normal interview where he said things very matter of factly. And for some reason that pisses people off, because it's Aaron Rodgers, so we must be outraged. I think he probably is waiting to see if a better opportunity opens up after the draft and then if not, will decide between Steelers or retiring then.

He only alienates people because sports fans are entitled. They care about sports too much so they think he owes them a quick decision.

Isn’t a significant portion of that $35M, dead money that allowed us to ‘underpay’ Goedert in previous seasons?

According to Spotrac 11 of the 35 is dead cap

Oh yeah just a procrastinator. Just procrastinating by being the most common guest on one of, if not the most popular sports talk show, where he usually talk all about the thing he's procrastinating! I hate it when that happens good point roll

And no one is "outraged" ya drama queen. We're just making fun of him.

It is. But they can get out from under a bunch of it if they move on from him this year.

Your statement didn't make much sense. The implication is by being a guest of a talk show that he can't be a procrastinator? One is irrespective of the other. And his first appearance in months no less.

Just admit you don't like him and want to trash him. If you want to do that, it's fine, but don't hide behind phony logic to do so.

It's going to take some Howie magic make a Goedert trade happen. 30 years old, questionable track record of staying healthy, $12 million cap hit, and the draft is next week.

If Howie wants a halfway decent pick for him in return (my bet is he'd be happy with a 4th), the question is going to become if he can get that pick without having to eat any of Goedert's salary this season. The whole point of moving him is to get his salary off the books, but how much would Howie be willing to eat to get that pick? And does it become worth it at that point?

It's gonna come down to who missed out in the draft. Jacksonville could be interested in him. Maybe Indy? The Jets could use a reliable short/intermediate option for Fields to zero in on.

I think he'd be long gone already if that was possible

Any deal would have to happen post-June 1 for cap purposes.

The guy had no new news, no decision yet and nothing new to say but went on the show anyway knowing fully well the only questions he would get would be about playing or not and that would be the only reason people would even tune in to him.

Clearly hates attention.

I don't see why the bolded even matters

I know that's the logical assumption but I find it unlikely.

There were tons of rumors about him being available well before the combine. At the combine it came out he had permission to seek a trade. It wouldn't make sense for Goedert to wait until post June 1 because he would just be screwing himself over by sitting by idly while teams spend all their offseason money. Other teams wouldn't wait until post June 1 if they wanted him badly enough and had perimeters in place just to help the Eagles. If there was a good enough offer, which I think a 3rd would be beyond good, Howie would have pulled the trigger.

My guess is the offers aren't good enough and certainly not with the cap implications to do anything. If a 5 is the best on the table then you might as well just wait until Post June 1 to see where everything stands. But the compensation wouldn't jump up to a 3 by waiting.

It's directly relevant to being a narcissistic attention hoor. He went on the show to say...nothing. No new news. Just attention.

Meanwhile someone gently makes fun of him for doing this for the 4000th time and for some reason you feel the need to go all

Why do you care so much that he needs to make a decision?

You can't really say you don't care after your back and forth and then googling that meme lol

Actually, that's not true. He did have news, he said it's not about the money and he would play for $10M! Such a good guy move. Definitely not a humble brag to put out there he wants to be the lowest paid starting QB.

I guess we'll see in early September when he signs if he'll stick to that.

There are 2 guys that were borderline 1st rounders at one point in time last year. Stayed in school, and are largely forgotten.

Rahim Sanders and Tory Horton.

Sanders got injured and maybe lost a step? But he still ran well in workouts.

Tory Horton was not seen as a 1st rounder last year supposedly because of a lack of athleticism for the position. But he has now run a 4.3 and somehow has not generated the type of buzz he had last year.

Id be really excited to draft both of those guys.

Again there's a huge difference between being "outraged" like dingus here suggested and making fun of someone. I "care" about Rodgers about as much as I "care" about whatever goofy crap Antonio Brown inevitably just posted on social media. LGM made the mildest of jokes about him and fanboy came out to defend his honor against the "outraged mouth breathers", but yeah it's us who care too much about Rodgers lol

And I made the meme thank you very much Michael. nonono

Gruden reads the blog. He did one with @Wentz_Era boy Riley Leonard, and now my guy Kyle McCord. Perfect! The only 2 QB videos I needed this year.

Imagine being a random Eagles fan on a message board who feels the need to white knight for a smug ****r like Rodgers.

Pat has been asking him to go on the show for months. He finally said ok. Guy who was a weekly guest to a show, goes back onto the show one time to catch up, and it has to be for selfish reasons. It can't just be a guy appearing on a show like many other athletes to appear on shows during the offseason. It's only Aaron Rodgers who is doing it for attention.
