Steen was a third rounder, not a second round pick

Jeremiah said he expects Nolen to go in the teens. At latest early 20s.

If there's ever a year to trade down, it's this year. Some team will want the 5th year option.

He's not but ok.

How can pick #65 be in the second round?

It could be, but lots of teams are trying to. Could argue it's a year to trade up because market inefficiency will make it cheaper than usual.

Even from your link

• Eagles traded a 2023 second-round pick (No. 62 overall) to the Texans for a 2023 third-round pick (No. 65 overall), a 2023 sixth-round pick (No. 188 overall), and a 2023 seventh-round pick (No. 230 overall).

Howie is trading up. I feel like it's almost a lock.

Steen was a 3rd rounder

Steen was a 3rd round pick.

That is a typo. The 2nd round only goes to 64.

If one of Nolan or Mykel Williams falls, he should.

Trade up for Nolen.

Keep the Super Bowls rollin.

If they trade up I think it would be for an Edge. I can't see them moving up 10-15 spots for Nolen if Jeremiah is correct. Would cost a 2nd rounder and they like Ojomo a lot. Edge for them is a lot more tenuous considering how unproven Nolan Smith and Hunt are and I think in the first round Edge is much deeper and they could jump up a few spots and get one of Ezeiruaku, Mykel, Pearce. Or possibly Green if he got the green light from Big Dom.

For 1 of the 3 Georgia boys off course.

He just screams "solid but unspectacular starting TE.” I don’t see the point in drafting that at 32 or even mid-second. I get that this draft class is weak in round 1, but all of these TEs are getting pushed up too high, even Warren and Loveland.

I agree. Based on reports, it sure sounds like the whole pedigree thing is bumping him up a full round higher than he otherwise would have been graded.

I don’t know for who in particular or what. I’d guess it would be for a pass rusher. DT/DE would both be in play but I’d lean DE is more the priority.

I think it happens just because of all the circumstances.

We have pick #32 and Howie already said there aren’t 32 players with a first round grade on their board. They have a boat load of 19-20 picks over the next two years, so I don’t think trading back to get even more would be the ideal option or all that practical. This is still a Super Bowl contending team with a loaded roster. They don’t need and probably can’t even fit all those mid round picks over the next two years on the team, so their real purpose is for trade, either in the draft or for a player. The cost of trading up is likely going to be cheap in this year and this draft specifically. And with how the offseason has been, this will be Howies chance to add an impact player where money isn’t a huge factor.

I think there are some teams like the Broncos, Texans and Vikings that are building around young QBs that would probably prefer more mid round picks that would be fine with trading down.

I do think if they trade back in round 1, they're trading up in round 2 or 3. They have 20 picks in two drafts, they aren't gonna draft 20 players.

Stop replying to trolls to give them the attention they want.
