I'm still curious what Vic does with Cooper

Same here. Ideally he keeps shutting down opponents at NCB. But what if Ringo struggles at CB2 at camp? Alot to sort out there.

I'm hoping the answer is to not break what's clearly working. He's the best NCB in the NFL (IMO). Don't mess with that. He's truly a weapon there and we saw that on display last year in spades. If CB2 is weak, you can rotate coverage that way and lean on Mitchell on the opposite side to handle his guy 1 on 1. Moving DeJean to CB2 would make him less valuable, IMO. He's just too good a tackler and really helps them play 'light' in the box with him on the field and still being extremely stout against the run.

I could see Booker though I doubt he falls. I have a hard time seeing Howie investing more in LB at this point. My feeling is it's probably DL and could be S or CB if the board just falls that way

Booker is the opposite of a Stoutland O-Lineman. His strength is being able to dominate in a phone booth, but because of his no more than average athleticism he will fail miserably in outside zone schemes, especially in any plays where he has to pull and/or block on the move.

That makes him a hard pass for the Eagles, but a good match for other NFL teams who want that kind of in a phone booth power/domination.

Haven’t had time to research the draft this year. Has anyone here put together a good breakdown or does anyone know of a good one elsewhere?

The Athletic’s Dane Brugler’s "The Beast” is said to be one of the best.

He said he likes him at nickel fwiw

He did straight up say just recently he prefers him inside. But who knows what happens down the line.

Does anyone else have this issue where every tweet loads on mobile and you can’t get back to the board?

Yes, I have experienced that. Have you reported it in the Technical issues thread?

Now do an alphabetical draft!

Amos in Round One and Alexander in Round Two and Anthony Belton in Round Three and Ashton Gillotte in Round Four and Ahmed Hassenein in Round Five and Isaac TeSlaa (too many A’s to pass on) also in Round Five.

If you draft a safety round 1 you're expecting him to be an immediate starter

No. I am not. You may be but not I. Fangio will play him when he thinks he’s ready and that won’t be immediately.

I’m with Just Relax on this subject … and it applies to all draftees IMO. Fangio will start them when/if they are ready.

My two favorite draft youtube channels are

https://www.youtube.com/@NFLStockExchange/videos

Recommend their position ranking videos.

and

https://www.youtube.com/@BootlegFootball/videos

Recommend the 10 gems offensive and defensive videos, and the Enigmas video.

From Kollman's own channel, the sleepers video

Of course, for a ton of reading, there is The Beast.

And similar to that from a lesser known guy this resource is incredible as well. Best and most comprehensive free resource out there.

The guy that puts that together also has his own youtube https://www.youtube.com/@James_Foster_Film (he used to be on A to Z sports but seems to be on his own now.) A to Z sports on youtube still exists as well but I dont know what theyre worth without Foster.

Nah. You expect competition. If he wins the job, then great.

Fran Duffy’s board is pretty good.

Sure, but devils advocate, his RAS is a 9.89, imagine the super weapon he’d be if he lines up at HB and runs go routes.

I didn't know Vic recently said he likes Cooper where he is. Thought he might want to try Cooper outside

Shouldn't move Cooper from nickel. He's one of if not the best in the league there. We see with Justin Jefferson and others that teams love to line their guys up against the slot corner. Having Cooper there is a huge benefit.

I can't help but enjoy living in the timeline where I was fully vi dicated and proven right on my evaluation while mostly everyone else here wrong. Especially when they all came out of their holes in the 2023 season to reignite their hate.

We all like Coop inside, but if he is as good outside as he is inside, outside he goes. He'll want to go outside as well as the $$$ is much better.

I’m curious what he does with CB in general…does he have Q swap sides? Or is Ringo your ‘CB1’ on paper right now?

That's another good discussion as the money is always a factor

Mitchell shadowing a player would be interesting. It'd save a lot of headaches for teams wanting to switch sides to stay away from him. I hope Vic looks into that

The gist of it is this:

Very average class overall. Very weak in blue chip talent. Very deep in "tier 2 and tier 3” type talent at DE, DT, and RB (one of the deepest classes ever at RB). Very weak at QB, WR, OT. Most of the college OTs are tweeners who might have to play OG in the NFL.

A trade down from 32 would be the likely value move because the difference between a pick at #15 and #50 won’t be that great. On the flip side, opinions on specific prospects are likely to be very difference, so there is a chance your #15 overall player could fall all the way to the 30’s.

So bad draft to hope for a day 1 starter at edge?
