Agreed if he's on the same page as Vic then I trust them to pick the edge rusher regardless of ranking. Because we know in the end Vic has to like a guy to play him anyway

Absolutely, and I think he'll trust Vic after how to use ZB and drafting Hunt. Doesn't mean they are perfect and can't mess up, but we are so lucky.

Big spender!

Mike Pitts.

Jurgens almost certainly had a minimally invasive discectomy.

It is the only intervention that is both a surgery and not something that would preclude extending him.

While not impossible, I would definitely not mortgage the farm on his back holding up after 5 more years into his 30’s. But for the rest of this extension? He should be good to go.

I still haven’t, though I log on briefly and erratically. What’s he doing? He’s in my top five posters all-time and probably our best historian so I’m the one who’s stupid here.

You are a better man than I Gunga Din. I’d love to know what he’s doing, and I’m sure it’s a classic.

Listened to the Mina Kimes War Room mock draft with Daniel Jeremiah and the topic of Mason Taylor came up. DJ made a somewhat cryptic statement to the extent that he spoke with "one of the better GMs in the league, who said ‘we wouldn’t have to guess what his fit could/would be; he’s Zach Ertz 2.0’”

It did make me wonder a bit if he was saying Howie without saying Howie, and whether the Eagles would use #32 on Taylor at TE, or would they try to replicate what they did when they drafted Goedert, where they traded back from #32 to 53, then traded up to #49 to draft him.

The Eagles did draft Ertz #35 overall, so it’s not like they figure #32 is way too high if they feel like Taylor can be their TE1 for the next 7-8 years. It will all depend how the board falls.

If Tyler Warren drops past the Colts then Howie has to pull the trigger and trade up.

He's posting every hour... and the jersey numbers of the players he is naming are descending by one each hour. That ought to give you all the hints you'll need.

I like Femi but at 32? I don't think I like that idea. That's got reach written all over it.

No way it's Taylor at 32.

A Goedert scenario is possible as described above, but I wouldn't be thrilled about it.

Just get Ferguson at 96.

It was too early to worry about Romano... but it hasn't improved yet.

Is it too early to worry about Nola? (HR was overturned and was ruled foul... but its still troubling.)

Zach Ertz 1.0 was never known for his blocking.

The question I have (and I was very early on the Mason Taylor / Elijah Arroyo train thanks to @HazletonEagle is whether Oronde Gadsden couldn’t also be given the name Zach Ertz 2.0?

No. And I’m starting to think I should retract my earlier Romano comment.

Or Gadsden in Day Three.

I don’t mind Gadsden but he looks too slight to me; more a big slot WR than TE at all. Give me Ferguson or Helm over him, by a wide margin

Helm could never be called Zach Ertz 2.0. I doubt anyone would call Ferguson that either.

The thing to remember about Romano is... he is coming off an injury season. He only pitched in 15 games last year, 13.2 innings. So, the hope was that this would be a 'bounce back' year for him. But that certainly doesn't seem to be happening.

The one thing about Nola... even when he's not super effective, he always grinds out innings, which is very needed right now. Because this bullpen is terrible and its already leaking oil. The fact that the 3 run HR turned out to be inches foul, and then the got the next 3 batters out without giving up a run is a testament to his bulldoggedness. BUT... he just doesn't seem right... and a 6+ ERA isn't nearly good enough. He's gotten 5+ innings in each game so far, but hasn't gotten more than 6 innings yet. This team needs the starting pitching to actually carry them, and right now, they aren't really doing that. He's got more innings than Taijuan Walker... and that's it. And had Walker not left the last start early for injury, he likely wouldn't have had more than Walker, even after getting skipped on the first rotation. We need more from Nola.

Couldn’t care less. I’m not looking for a Zach Ertz 2.0 at all. I’m much more inclined to look for a TE in the Goedert or Celek mold — but those are hard to find

It's a running league now. Top 6 run heavy teams all in thr playoffs and top 6 pass heavy teams all out of the playoffs.
