Zach Ertz 1.0 is an archetype of a receiving TE that isn't much of a blocker or RAC threat, that Mason Taylor might potentially become. Perhaps we want Gunnar Helm because he might become a competent receiving threat but good blocker... what's that Mark Bavaro 1.0?

I want Jason Whitten 2.0

I agree with your archetype. I believe we want more than that … ideally.

I was thinking Whitten as well, but aside from Warren that's a lofty goal - I'm not sure if I can vouch for any of the TE prospects to that degree.

CB is a sneaky round 1 pick not many people have seemed to talk about. Easier to project than a safety. Revel should be in play

Hard to project a guy coming off a serious injury.

Byron Evans.

McManus said we hosted Penn State safety Kevin Winston on a 30 visit.

Looks like we brought S Winston Jr. for a visit, really like him. Possible round 2 or so candidate.

If they go up for Nolan then Davis becomes expendable. I could see them trading him for picks or to move up in the 2nd.

Nolen is a run stuffer?

I would like to see the Eagles draft Jeff Thomason 5.0

Goedert’s traits are pretty ideal - great hands, elite YAC, OT arm length.

Love Fidone out of Nebraska. Don’t know if he has Goedert upside, but I’m very confident he outperforms his draft spot and is a damn good in-line TE.

RE: CB

I don't think drafting a CB in the first round, trading up for another CB early in the second round, and then drafting a first round corner the following year is a wise allocation of assets. Honestly, unless someone falls way further than expected it would be kind of dumb. I would like to see them give Ringo a chance to sink or swim, have Adore Jackson as a fall back options, and draft a dog type who is or projects to slot corner so that if in the ABSOLUTE WORST CASE SCENARIO they could potentially move Dejean to the outside. They can get someone like Parrish, Riley, Smith, Stout, Ransaw, etc in the 3rd-5th round range.

I'll give them #32 and #64 for #2 or #3. If pushed, I'll include Bryce Huff. Give me Abdul Carter and we can all celebrate!

Creative name choices... but clearly not based on ability or impact for the team. lol

I honestly keep forgetting Huff is on the team

He's highly forgettable.

Agreed

Why is mason taylor shooting up the boards? There's no way I'd draft him in the 1st.

Frank LeMaster.

Cowboys all in continues

He can bull rush, but holding ground is a different skill (strength vs. power).

I hope DJ is wrong with his Donovan Jackson prediction at 32. Would be a disappointing RD1 choice in my opinion.

Here is to hoping for a run on QBs and skill players in the first round. Push a few EDGE and DTs down within striking range.

Loveland has the potential to be really good.

Im sure there are some good OL picks at 32. But I feel the only one who might actually excite me would be Savaiinaea.

Thats my opinion having watched pretty close to 0 OL prospects.

One big reason is that I just havent been a fan of taking OL in round 1 with Stoutland around. The eagles have proven they dont need to do it. And I dont see any such glaring need to suddenly do it now. If something happened where Lane abruptly retired or something, and there is an immediate gaping hole there, then yes. Spend premium assets to get that taken care of. But they havent been in that position. I feel there is just no need to not spend the pick elsewhere.

Another reason is that this is a weaker OL draft. So taking leftovers at the end of round 1 is probably less bang for the buck than taking some traits based potential gem in round 3 or so. End of round 1, youre probably settling for the really low upside, high floor guy.

Yup but its the only reason he might be available. Kid can play
