How loud were the Eagles fans at the Super Bowl? So loud that it confused Chiefs fans (not really hard to do, but still...):

He thought they were booing their punter lol

It just came to me, like an Epiphany….

Garrett only makes sense on a new deal…and a team friendly one if he truly wants a shot at a SB.

He can have league minimum, plus all the post-season checks he can win... and, because I'm feeling generous,  I'll add in, he'll get all the love and adoration from this fanbase that he could ever want... and likely never have to buy a drink in this city again.

If he pushes hard, we can add some escalators for some sack numbers, or post-season success - whichever he prefers.

Charles Mann went ring chasing for very little... and it worked out for him, and he already had 2 at the time.    Granted he was also 3 years older than Garrett.

I think there were 2 or 3 pages of everyone saying the exact same thing... "Make up call" after their first penalty (I forget the call, maybe a personal foul committed against Goedert?)

Yep, it was the PF on Goedert that extended a drive.  And, that's exactly what it was... a make-up call.

They aren't too bright out there.

But, remember, they did boo Taylor... and she's the bestest.

Brady did not like the OPI because it was lame. I don't care what Brady or anyone thinks about the Goedert call because it was a perfect call.

You can not contact the head or neck of a defenseless receiver. There is nothing in the rules about your intentions, or feelings, or oopsies. Its a player safety rule like actually hitting a QB in the head when they slide properly. No one measures the PSI of the hit to the head.

If you line up offsides... its always a penalty. If you make contact head or neck to a defenseless receiver... its always a penalty.

The Bolton hit on Saquon was assault. There was no game being played. The play was well over. Its the textbook definition of roughness that is not necessary. Going into the huddle and hitting someone would be similar. Did they miss the Mahomes punch in the face? Yes. Was Carter being obviously held for 5 yards before he hit Mahomes? Also yes.

The absolute clueless morons pretending the refs were against the Chiefs was truly pathetic.

Something to consider when it comes to what kind of investment we need to make at edge. If Fangio sees Hunt as an every down player (and he prefers to play his starters every down), do we need to invest in a first-round edge? Howie would for sure, but barring injury, we might not get a great ROI with Hunt and Smith under team control for three more years.

I haven’t done much reading up on the draft. Is Campbell a pure off-ball LB? If so, the hit rate on first-round LBs is rough.

No he's not, he can do both. Very high ceiling for a pass rusher too.

I just watched 13 minutes of Landon Jackson highlights.  The guy is a 6’7, 280 lb EDGE and I didn’t see a single bull rush.  Not one power rush.  Lots of wingspan and pulling guys down, but I’m not sure how much his skills translate to the NFL

What the 1994 49ers got away with in salary cap manipulation was every bit as ugly as the Dodgers with all this deferred payment garbage.

That may be true, but what position(s) on the team can provide better ROI?

Also ROI is susceptible to being disrupted by injuries.

Rumors are spreading that the Rams are trying to trade Kelly Stafford to the Giants. They will throw in Matthew as well.

Cant see Pierce falling out of rd 1. Or Green going top 10

You may be right on both, but I’m comfortable that one or both will transpire once Round 1 is complete.

That’s the danger of having a coach and GM on their desperate year. The Giants will make dumb short term moves

DT or CB

Yeah I think we trade down but I have a hunch if not we draft a CB then the story is we drafted CBs with last 3 high picks

I can see DT, but CB?  How do you get a net ROI gain at CB over the assets and return we have now?

If you read that Jeremiah mock posted earlier, it says teams will likely work him out as an edge- he flashes elite potential when he rushes. Could be a Parsons type player.

I don’t see Parsons level pass rusher. He can be good, even maybe a double digit sack guy if he focuses on rushing, but Indont think he’ll be an all-world level sack artist.

Using Eagles players for comparisons, I would say he’s sort of a hybrid between Baun and Hunt.

I’d be salivating at what Fangio could do with the three of them on the field at the same time, rushing 4 but confusing QBs and OLs with who is dropping into coverage and who is rushing.

Agreed — I don’t want him. There are lots of big DEs this year and he’s one that interests me the least.

If we want that type of build at DE in the first round then Howie should just trade up for Shemar Stewart. He’s a guy with actual potential.
